The most obvious one will be the design. IMO, BX400 has a better design with a basic all black frame compared to EX400's black frame with a grey plastic slapped on the bottom. Looks so cheap. Even the "SONY" word on the BX is made out of metal, not printed like the EX400.
PQ wise, both is the same. Both is using the same speakers as well. However, EX400 has Ambient Sensor and BX doesn't have. BX has FM radio function.
In terms of input, BX lacks HDMI ports (only 2) compared with EX400 4. Both has one PC in, USB, one RF, two composite and one component.

Thank you so much for your reply bro BX is like RM400 cheaper than EX so i think lacking of ambient sensor should not be a deal breaker and with the good design as u mentioned. What other LCD TVs would you recommend? Budget is around RM3k+

If you're already eyeing on Sony, then go get one without hesitation. LG lacks contrast and colour appears to be too pale. Samsung TVs has fake colour reproduction (like water colour) and Panasonic only does good Plasma, but not LCD.

Getting Started

|
anyone know if this EX400 and BX400 maximum PC resolution? I was wondering if they could take PC display signal up to 1920 x 1080, pixel by pixel as some Full HD TV's PC resolution is just 1366 x 768 only.

I'm not sure about BX400 and EX400 but my older KLV40S550 can take up to 1920 x 1080 via either HDMI output from my lappie or VGA connection from my Aspire L3600 CPU.
