QUOTE(gsan @ Mar 5 2006, 10:02 AM) of course i know, but changing the heatsink wont bring much performance or even nothing change at all. but adding fan blow it sure will cold down the chipset. the problem was that you answered his question with an answer for a different question, that's why i pointed that out sure adding a fan will cool it down adding a fan blowing onto the ramsinks you're asking about will definately cool them down too

QUOTE(remysix @ Mar 30 2006, 07:23 PM) havent been in this thread for quite some time... anyway, any suggestion on a good chipset cooling...air cooling...not really sure what is the problem but the temp is damn high...idle at 49-50...load can reach up to 55...btw, i'm using dfi nf4 ultra-d...most people got around 44-45c...any ideas? those are my normal temps too dont see a problem with it

QUOTE(remysix @ Mar 31 2006, 12:47 AM) you meant the: 1. idle: 49-50; or 2. idle:44-45? anyway...maybe 49-50 is normal...if it is, then i can stop worrying that it will spoilt my oc. obviously i meant the higher one, that's why i said "dont see a problem with it" if not i'll be saying "yours is pretty high dude" no it shouldnt affect your OCing even if it does, 5C isnt gonna make any real difference

QUOTE(remysix @ Apr 7 2006, 08:41 PM) huh...i got something weird...all the sudden my cpu temp drop to 28-30 at idle...and prime at 31-32...and the proc is on air...how could that possibly be true...it even beat those using water...but the oc still the same...guess i need to change back to 6-23 bios... After flashing the bios you mean? Or suddenly for no reason when u didnt do anything at all it changed? If after the flash, then its the bios Just remember to add 15C or whatever the difference in temps were before the flash

QUOTE(charge-n-go @ May 2 2006, 10:57 PM) Hi guys, js wondering if your vcore reading is way below the set one. For me, when i set to 1.45V (either 1.40V * 104%, or normal 1.45V), ITE / MBM / CPU-z reads 1.42 only When I set to 1.475V, I am only able to get 1.44V. I'm wondering if my board voltage regulator has problem, bcoz a few of my fren's nF4 Ultra-D wont undervolt that much. Yupp, IINM it's normal (at least for Ultra-D users) No idea which is the real value though This post has been edited by KilJim: May 3 2006, 12:58 AM

QUOTE(satanhead2003 @ Jul 8 2006, 12:41 AM) Guys.... im running ultra-D without sli hack. can i put my gfx on the 2nd sli slot n will it affect performance much? i'm not benchmark geek, so hundred points drop in 3dmark score wont bother me much as long if the games play smooth. Nope, shouldnt be a big difference Nothing noticable
