i changed the thermal paste on mine and it runs pretty cool.. just that mine is making some ticking sound now so i have no choice but to change it soon..

doesn't really bother me (the ticking sound) but i can try whether it runs cooler as well on the new cooler..

could i know wat are the improvements u have seen? i'm currently on utt with 702-2.

how about TCCD's/TCC5????can the bios version improve the performance/stability for those ram based chips....????

Just now my chipset fan suddenly went monster sound, I have no idea how come this happened. I have to keep adjust the fan until the monster sound gone. Anyone experienced this before?

but my smartguardian show System1 : System2  oni
is this normal or can change them>? i can't find the option to change the temp display

i've installed the vantec iceberq4 (not pro). first of all, it does NOT fit!!! i mean there are 2 clips. 1 pin-clip went in fully, the other one has only the head in, can't seem to press it thru the mobo ori hole. antonio_zth: can help me ah? the clips can't even go in fully, let alone 100% heat transfer leh...

anyway i couldn't be bothered since it is not droping down, i screwed everything back and am using it now. if you ask me about temperatures, the stock cacat fan 46deg @ 6800rpm. vantec with the thermal compound that came with the fan gets 46deg @ 4800rpm. these figures are done with BT, DC++, ICQ, MSN on. THAT IS ALL! damn cacat rite... i also don't know what is wrong. (figures are done with smartguardian on AUTO).

antonio say he gets Chipset = 38c (idle) 41c (Full load)... how u get it leh antonio? i mean i don't really care coz i bought the vantec to replace the failing stock fan. but since i paid so much i my as well get the best out of it right... someone help me leh...

any troubleshoot website for DFI SLI board? my mobo suddently dead! sometimes can boot, sometimes not. when able to boot up, it shutdown directly after 1 or 2 minutes.... no matter it is in window or in dos. then it wont startup! when push the power button, the power LEd is on for a while... then it's stuck there for 10+ minutes... this is keep repeating... anyone can help?

to nf4 ultra-d users, i have a question..

the mobo has 4 power input which consist the 24pin, 1 4pin, 1 molex and 1 floppy.. should i plug all the power or can i just plug in the 24pin and the 4 pin coz i'm running out of molex space..

afaik 512mb sticks uses higher quality chips and hence are more overclockable

1gb sticks have higher capacity but are less overclockable coz their chips are slightly crappier.
