I`m planning to get an auto car. Can someone plz comment on the FC of these cars

1.3 saga Blm (A) =
1.3 Myvi (A) =
1.6 Satria Neo Cps (A) =
Vios J (A) =

I will be driving over 2000 Km a month, so FC is a very important factor for me

Now im left with Neo and ViosJ
Vios J = I pay more but better FC
Neo = I pay less but i think it has bad FC

I would like to know how much does their FC differ

I can't give u the figure about Neo's FC.

For Vios G auto (my colleague one, J and G should be no different in FC), FC = my 1.3 Saga BLM manual...even the FC is the same, but actually is alot better than mine considering Vios is 1.5L engine with auto gearbox. Currently is about 12-13 cents/KM.

For Neo, according my friend, no way near my Saga BLM FC, so judge by urself. Proton's car engine more powerful FC will be more as well, this is what i know. smile.gif

2000 km/month
1 year = 24000 km

Lets say, the car u choose is slightly higher in fuel consumption by 5 cents/km.

RM 0.05 x 24000 = RM 1200

Lets take saga blm vs vios for example
Price diff is roughly 70k - 40k = 30k
Not taking interest into calculation, 30k/1.2k = 25 years is needed to even out the initial price difference.

That's provided u use the car for 10 years, and the 2nd hand value will not be much different at the end of the ownership.

U hv extra money in hand to pay for maintenance.

Thats true, but wat if we look at it this way

Lets say the neo cost me 0.10 extra per KM compared to a Vios
I drive 2000 km a month === Rm 200 a month
If i pay RM 600 installment for the Neo per month
I can actually use the extra RM 200 and get a Vios which i need to pay
monthly installment of RM 800
And if i choose to sell the car, i get better 2nd hand value or at least
i dunt hv to bring out money to sell my car...
