Just picked up a black set from dreamitcentre. Nice guy and easy to talk to.
I was at Digital Mall earlier and got put off by the guy's attitude and decided to give dreamitcentre a call. Good thing I did. Got a much sweeter deal =)

QUOTE(twL @ Apr 13 2010, 11:41 PM) i think Digi's one is cheaper, u only need to pay RM999 for the phone and RM68 for unlimited internet usage, not RM148+... I suspect the RM999 phone price is dependent on your monthly usage. If I'm not mistaken they had a similar promotion with smartphones/berries late last year. So my guess is you have to pay the highest bracket of phone price first and then they rebate you depending on your usage. quote Customers who sign up for DG Smart Plan can also save up to 50% on our range of subsidised smartphones, comprising BlackBerry Curve 8520, HTC Legend or BlackBerry Bold 9700 for as low as RM549, RM999 and RM1,299 respectively. endquote

QUOTE(zc_squash @ Apr 18 2010, 03:59 PM) i feel comfortable with the keyboard now (with predictive text turned off) but I would like the speech-to-text feature. Any option to add just that feature alone? Yes you can add the Voice Search apk and then get an app like handcent sms. That'd allow you to text using speech but I find it laggy and wasn't very accurate. I think if you don't write in Chinese it's better if you use the modded keyboard =)

It's fast and smooth. The screen is great though if you want to enjoy the screen to the fullest get a glossy screen protector rather than those anti-fingerprint matte ones.
Wifi is a bit weak and battery life is a bit weaker than I'm used to.

QUOTE(jutamind @ Apr 19 2010, 04:43 PM) the screen is not working well with anti-finger matte screen protector, i.e. not smooth? It works fine. Just that you don't get to enjoy the vibrant colours of the amoled screen as much. =)

QUOTE(jutamind @ Apr 19 2010, 04:45 PM) havent seen anti-finger matter protector before....it's not transparent or is it darker or is it rough surface? I'm not sure how to describe it. It's a bit dull. Not glossy and shiny like the usual screen protector.

Anybody got this issue about the stock browser just quitting while browsing? It's not a force close. It just disappears and the home screen is shown. For me so far happens most often at the Star's website.
Now using Dolphin Browser (non-HD version) as it allows cache to SD.

QUOTE(GaiaIX @ May 16 2010, 12:44 PM) i see....well, this is new to me since my old Nokia will keep displaying the flash notification until I open the unread message/miscall. The other thing is...i wondering why my Legend never vibrate for incoming sms even though I already set it to vibrate. You can try getting this app called Missed Reminder. It'll keep the lights blinking and/or make some noise to notify you of missed calls/sms/mms/mail.

Anyone got the OTA update yet? The HTC/SEA site says there is an update but when I check for updates on the phone it doesn't show

QUOTE(d3m0n @ Jun 1 2010, 09:57 PM) I think its because you are roaming that you can access paid apps. Everybody here in Malaysia with original SIS sets also cannot access the paid apps in Market. There is no difference between ori an ap you know. I thought market is largely dependent on where i buy it and not where you are? AP could be fromregions.where android market is enabled.
