I'm just about to change my old phone and looking for my 1st smart phone. After goes through lots of information, finally my choice would be either Legend or desire. I like Legend design a lot as I still prefer smaller sized phone.

However I'm not yet planning to subscribe to any data plan as I can fully utilized the availability of Wifi connection at my workplace...since HTC Legend wifi connection is said to be disappointed, should I take Desire instead?

hi guys! I'm not sure which one is better....either to buy HTC Legend at rm1399 with maxis and bond to their data plan contract for 1 year or to buy separate SIS unit from kedai and subscribe to data plan without contract later? I'm maxis user and don't really want to change to another Tel-co at the moment...

I'm so new in smart phone arena...I'm totally clueless on how much data usage I may consume within a month, so I'm not quite sure when need to choose any of 500MB or 1.5GB or 3GB package. Plus there are free wifi connection in my office and I'm a streamyx at home.

Any advise ?

yeah but now I have to decide either to choose maxis data plan with contract (for cheaper phone price) or buy the phone separately at retail price and subscribe to data plan later. I just cant see which one has more benefit on consumer side....

A Legend Owner for a week now, still trying to familiar myself with the usage but I'm not very happy with the low signal. Call and sms often interrupted. How to improve this? by boosting the radio signal? How to do that?

I wondering why my Legend notification LED only work sometimes when there's unread sms....most of time the LED doesn't blink at all but when I turn on the display I saw the unread sms icon. Is anybody experience same thing here?

i see....well, this is new to me since my old Nokia will keep displaying the flash notification until I open the unread message/miscall. The other thing is...i wondering why my Legend never vibrate for incoming sms even though I already set it to vibrate.

Hi...I'm thinking to ask that question too when reading this thread yesterday, but I hold it and google with "android htc legend voice to text setup" keyword and I found what I want to know....you can try the same keyword....or the keyword "HTC_IME mod" would be more accurate

Me...I also have no idea what's happened, but then I changed the hi-res with lo-res and its working like what it should be...If you installed the hi-res, try re-install with low-res...

I've to scrolling down my sms thread up to hundreds conversation just to read the new incoming sms on my Legend...and this problem only appears after the latest firmware update...what happened?

(i use the default htc sms application)
