when is htc releasing OTA froyo for our beloved legend. its gonna be the end of the month already.

Hi all, I got weird problem on my Legend

under Setting, Wireless & Networks
my Mobile Network is untick
but on top of my phone, which beside the Signal Bar, has HSDPA connection

everytime I press longer on the unlock button on top of the phone, and turn off the mobile network
it shows off, but the HSDPA network is still there, is this bug or?

I dont want to enable the mobile network all time, its draining my battery :/

My HTC Legend weather app is showing moon during day now, anyone having this problem?
I thought the weather app needed sync but after sync still it is still showing moon when it should be the sun. =s

anyone having same problem as me?

why don't they give up on HTC Sense and give u the vanilla Froyo. I don't mind that. I just want 2.2 without taking the risk to brick my phone.

Of course you can spray it, but the finishing won't be that nice.

Yea I noticed that too, so that means that Legend will get the Froyo after all.
2GB Class 4 would suffice. You only need it for the goldcard process, after that you can reformat and use it. So technically anything above 2GB Class 4 would do the trick.

Hey peeps. I have a confession to make - I'm stupid, I voided my 2 year HTC warranty, but so far no regrets. Story as follows.

My Legend's power button started to feel "not right" after about 6 months of usage. It felt like it sank in a little, and I had to use more effort to push the button. And my "back" button sank too - it was not level with the "home", "menu" and "search" buttons. So I decided to send in my Legend for a warranty claim. I didn't know what was going through my mind back then, but I handed my phone to SIS/HTC with my custom ROM. Yes, my custom ROM. Taadaa, 3 days later, a technician from HTC called me and asked where I got this ROM. Then he said my phone's warranty voided - "we already have a snapshot of your custrom ROM and updated our database, your phone is no longer under any warranty".

"But this is just the ROM, I'm claiming warranty for a hardware problem - your company's device is experiencing a hardware problem after just 6 months of usage". "Sorry boss, this is our company policy." Policies are policies - they will find any legal reason not to fix your phone. So how much it is to repair the buttons? RM212 to change the entire aluminum casing + buttons. Being kiamsiap, I told him "never mind, just return my phone." He slammed the phone without saying anything else.

Feeling dejected after having lost my 2 years warranty over a silly mistake, I told myself "what the heck, I'll fix it myself, not that I got anything else to lose", and I disassembled my Legend. It was a tedious process, but with XDA forum's guide, I managed to strip my Legend naked. Fixing the buttons was quite simple. I just added layers and layers of tiny pieces of masking tape to the bottom of the buttons, and voila, even better than new! I added some layers of masking tape to the "home, menu, back and search" buttons - now it's even sturdier than its original state. No more free-play (looseness), and the buttons are all level.

I bet HTC won't even be able to (or won't even bother to) fix my phone to such a state, since they'll be using the same parts. So, I have no regrets - voiding the warranty gave me courage to explore my phone (in the hardware department) and subsequently resolved a problem that has always bugged me - the 4 buttons . I was too into it and forgot to take pictures, but here are 2 pics:-
