Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy my first property around puchong area which is an apartment priced around 200k +. I've done some read ups on buying a house and so far from my understanding, BLR is the way to go compared to fixed rate at this moment as the BLR rate is quite low but i'm still in a dilemma on which bank to go for. I haven't actually asked their plans and stuff so i'm wondering if someone who has experience in this could advice which are the top 3-5 banks for housing loan. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!

If you are buying first hand from developer, usually they have a panel of banks you can choose from with a special promotion on your apartment.

If you are buying second hand, then you can call up all the banks to ask for a proposal and see which one offer you the best rates and deals.

If the lawyer provided by developer (legal panel) cause they offering free legal fee and SPA. Is that ok? If that case, what shall we take note on? Read carefully about the SPA before sign?

maybe you want to take a third party opinion, i.e. your lawyer - ask the developer's lawyer to email you and get it read through by another lawyer
