Yes, I tried that too with no effect. Anyway, I'm keeping Kave despite the hissing.

I'm sorry that you're only able to enjoy the Roccat Kave to a very small extent.

Anyway, have you actually tested it any other PCs which are not from your home or you have only tested on the computer systems in your house?

If not mistaken Low Yat Plaza Compuzone LVL 4 (not mistaken correct lvl tongue.gif) has demo set Roccat Kone[+] & Roccat Kave. I tested my unit there & also bought it from them. Switching to Steelseries 7H now smile.gif. Kave was good with music + games but if you use it for about 1hour + a bit uncomfortable and need to adjust then it's fine. I tested a friends SS 7h loved it cause portable + comfortable + sounds awesome too heh.

Save up for a good sound card. Buying a cheap sound card ( <RM100 ) wouldn't exactly give any significant improvement in sound quality over the integrated sound chips on most motherboard nowadays smile.gif.

You could consider buying from ModernoPC's shop. They are much easier to talk to compared to the salesmen in Lowyat who seem to not be interested in dealing with you at all wink.gif.

There should be a difference in sound quality, but how noticeable it is depends on the user. Some may notice while some may not.

Anyway, I have used the Roccat Kave with the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro sound card before, and there's definitely a big difference compared to the sound chip that my current motherboard has. The bass that the headset has with the Elite Pro sounds better. The sound card also somehow breathes magic into the music that I listen to. I would have continued using it if it hadn't died sad.gif. Right now I'm considering to save up for the ASUS Xonar D2X since I'm pretty much spoilt by the Elite Pro. smile.gif

I have a couple of Questions of my own...

according to (maybe) all users who own them , they noticed that after many pro-long hours of using it , their ears started to hurt.
and the weight on the head , can you tell me a bit more hmm.gif

Hi, i have a question to ask here too.

I just bought Dr Dre Solo HD and use it on my pc.

I was surprised that the sound quality i heard from my headset is par, well below the quality i expected.

At 1st, i thought it was the headphone but then after i read this thread, i found out that sound card is important too. (Sorry, I'm total newbie in PC).

So I come across searching for sound card, but most of them are either 5.1 or 7.1 which compliment the high end speakers set up.

For my case, I just want to use my headphone in gaming and musics only. I found Asus Xonar headphone amp. So guys, I wana ask, is that sound card suitable for me? Or is it indifferent with the on board sound card?

What about after pro-long hours of playing?
Cause I'm probably like playing games and surfing like 3-5 hours a day...

hi michaeljohn, my budget would be around 300 - 400.

However, taking the fact that I will only use my headphone, the high end sound card is not necessary as my headphone wouldnt have that much to offer as compare to the 5.1 or 7.1 setup speakers.
