agreed. i hate friends who walk into my room and go 'so uh.....u collect toys'.
the thing is..i don't see how a normal teenage kid can buy the gunplas...unless his/her parents r friggin rich or actually spoil him/her.

RM50 can hardly buy a gundam...and that's how much my monthly pocket money back then.

aww man, but most of my classmates are also model kit collectors (like keroro, transformers, kamen riders, etc), but i'm the only one who collects gundam kits liao tongue.gif, so like we kinda admire each other's models blush.gif

Yup, I've seen both the commercials before. I believe they were at the ending of some of the SEED's episodes. smile.gif

Check this out, I guess it's nice for us Gundam collectors. I find it very funny.

Hahaha... yeah that's the problem. Too young, can't afford. When can afford, they say you're too old. sweat.gif

same here. 1st gundam bought with my own money was Bendi brand Altron Gundam (as i was a kid , i dunno that it was fake. & it was cheap that time so i bought it back home.) when i assemble it. i can see the plastic not made perfectly. it has leftover plastic on the parts doh.gif joint's not perfect. parts cannot fit nicely, parts broken easily doh.gif ( i know as i have assembled original Bandai's kit before. still that time i dunno anything about brand) i straight throw it into dustbin... mad.gif as for my original 1s, all has been destroyed by my siblings vmad.gif either it's hidden or went into toilet bowl & flushed

My first model kit was HG Eva-01, not exactly a Gundam. Got impressed by my friend's Eva-02 and its poseability. So went ahead and bought despite the minor flaws in it. It was for a whopping RM120 back then.

Then my sister bought me an HG Wing Gundam Zero Custom (the 1 with metallic coating). This kit was like... crippled. Loose here and there. Can't stand on itself with the wings on. So I had it leaning on the glass wall of the display shelf right now. Gonna try to fix/tighten the joints when I'm free.
