Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D Blu-ray Announced
The first 3D Blu-ray title for general release has been announced, and it wasn't in America. The German branch of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed the details for the 3D edition of the CG animated movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, slated for June 1. A 2D edition is also coming out at the same time.
Probably due to the extra disc space taken up by stereoscopic video, the 3D edition will include less bonus content than the 2D one: the only special features listed are 3D sneak peeks for Open Season and Monster House, extended scenes and a music video.
For easier recognition, the 3D edition will come in a clear case and display the "Blu-ray 3D" logo on the front cover.
At the time of writing, the 3D version goes for €28.99, that is, 9 euros more than the 2D version.
No 3D Blu-ray has been formally announced for retail as of yet in the US. Early in the year, a 3D release of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was rumored to be imminent, but no announcement has been made. A 3D version of Dreamworks' Monsters vs. Aliens is being bundled exclusively with Samsung 3D HDTVs (and the Shrek films will do the same later in the year).
Disney has said it will release a 3D version of A Christmas Carol in the fourth quarter. Regarding the top-grossing 3D theatrical release of all times, Avatar, 20th Century Fox has reiterated that there won't be a 3D release this year.

Just took the final words of the review. I'm impressed with the PQ.
"Stanley Kwan's Everlasting Regret is not for everyone. This is a very slow film that assumes that its audience is well familiar with the history of Shanghai. I think, however, that if one has experienced a similar type of transition as the one witnessed in Everlasting Regret, one could very easily understand the type of emotions the main protagonists struggle with.
The Blu-ray disc herein reviewed, courtesy of Hong Kong-based distributors Panorama, looks and sounds good.
It is also English-friendly and Region-Free.
RECOMMENDED. "
