I think it has been repeated many times in this thread, and you being an active member here should have picked up on it as well. Does region-lock ring a bell?
*
Those who buy a lot frm amz.uk really should consider a region free player..

Saves a lot of hassle..

I think same as US version,

Disc 1: Theatrical Feature Blu-ray
Disc 2: Theatrical Feature DVD

By the way, UK got 2 versions of Avater, Avatar Blu-ray (Normal version) and Avatar Blu-ray Limited-Edition SteelBook with Survival Guide/ArtCards (Steelbook).  The price is different by £10.  whistling.gif
*
Oooh.. thanks..

Not intrstd in Steelbooks especially if there is a premium to it..

Tested these last night. I'm so surprised with the details in the first one, never noticed the textures on the objects before, always thought they were flat and simple animation. Impressive for a 1995 production, 4.5 stars. Even the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 ES is at least 4.5 stars, very active surrounds and the LFE will shake the room house!

Toy Story 2 just simply 5 stars for both PQ/AQ. No need to elaborate, just open up a dictionary and look for the word perfect.

*

Any of you own The Twilight Saga : New Moon? Need to know if its worth buying?
*
I hv de 1st instlmnt : Twilight n its story , even thou' its so kitsch n syrupy sweet was a whole lot more entertainin then New Moon[ I saw in de cines..] - NM had a bigger budget, better cgi but de story was so lame.. it felt like just a walk thru for prt 3..

I ll only get tis if its veri cheap..

QUOTE(fadthil @ Mar 26 2010, 11:30 PM)
For me, it'll be the opposite. If the audio is so-so, but the video is tip-top... I still rate it high.

My scenario: if I listen to a moderate or so-so movie audio track without watching the video, I can still be impressed with the sound... but if i just watch the video without sound, I can tell straight away whether the transfer is good, moderate or bad!  nod.gif

I must've been living in my own world I think, haha....  laugh.gif

I agree wif u..

VDO first then ODO..

I recently watched de first 2 OCEANS Trilogy in HD[ watchd eons ago in SD ] n it was like watchin it new .. de detail in HD is awesum.. ODO is still lossy [ prbbly wif a higher bitrate] but it didnt deter in enjoyin to d full tis flick..

*
U mean Twilight? Twilight is OK for vdo.. since its based in one of de most dreary [weather wise] state in de US, its expected tat outdoor scenes are misty n dull.. Odo is lossless n apart frm a few vampire fight scenes - nuthin to shout abt..

With Amazon UK going back to Royal Mail the delivery times are back to normal. 7 days from ship to deliver. DHL Post took about 9-10days.

Also Toy Story 1 & 2 I received from BOGO has the slipcovers, there was some concern that the ones shipped during the BOGO did not have slipcovers.
*
I ordered when TS1+2 was restocked wif de higher pricin [but stil BOGO] n amz.uk shpd using DHL frm deustche post .. must be outsourcing frm there now.. I guess..

Watched Transporter 3 this morning before Arsenal v Barcelona ,the film was good! A lot of action!

Though this movie is not as good as first 2 Transporter movie but has acceptable transfer.
PQ:  Amazing video! Max High Def

AQ: The Audio is awesome! DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1, is a great audio track for the movie that is loud..
*

Yup..

All 3 Trnsprtr flicks are great no brainer actioners.. another no brainer popcorn fare is Hitman, Max Payne n Punisher 2 - lousy rvw but fantastic action..

*
3 wks is de estd arrival date.. in most instances , it ll arv way b4 then..

I tink only Klang Valley gets it fastest.. up north, here, its usually 8 days frn shpg date to delivery n tats fast liao..

Unfortunately..

Yes.. most blockbuster mvs will release in cinemas simultaneously in most countries n if u [ or ur family ] r caught in d hype then u cant but help support Mr Shaws family coffers.. worse stil is when de bd cums out [normally de fastest release takes 4mths frm end of cinema run ] ..we buy it again cos its such a great mv.. double blow ..

I knw cos I ll record it on my own when amz sends us an email abt orders being shpd then when CC statements come I cross chek wf my own records.. but I guess a seasoned online buyer like u knws all tat..
