if he is really talking about biotech in monash, IMO monash's biotech is still very weak in Malaysia.
for notts, i dunno about the course structure, but by just doing biotech in plants is a bit restricting. it would be good to touch every aspect of biotech before specialising. ucsi is still the better choice,if not the best, of IPTS in biotech in malaysia currently. |

QUOTE(entryman @ Aug 22 2010, 01:07 AM) For the 1st part, why? the facilities for biotech in monash sunway is still very basic. well, according to my friend who's doing food science there. its a still a very new course. For the 2nd part, Notts Biosciences department has 3 programmes: Nutrition, Plant Biotech, and Biotech. For the 3rd part, why? IINM, ucsi is the pioneer of all the IPTS is biotech course. already produced graduates for many years in Malaysia. facilities are good, new ones are building, more of their lecturers are doing their Ph.D and had received some awards. of course, i can't give u solid facts on why is it one of the best la. |

actually, why do u guys even bother about what not to bring?
will there be spot checks every week? in my previous university we students bring whatever we want into the hostels. it is only when some idiot cause the fuse to burn only the management will do a check, if not all is well. |

QUOTE(Maziar @ Dec 28 2010, 03:09 AM) Hey,thanks for the reply yes it is limited. in Malaysia its very hard for you to get a working visa or something similar.Well,I actually have no referees,I was searching for Private English universities in Malaysia and I found Nottingham. I read in few Persian forums that jobs are limited for international students and almost all companies prefer local students than internationals(just like you mentioned) last time when an indonesian colleague was working in my office, my boss issued all the cheques under her boyfriend's name. even in our publications, there was no mention of her name whatsoever. |
