hey i got called for an interview at nottingham this friday for pharmacy..im so nervous!!i have no idea what to read..should i revise my organic chem? rclxub.gif
what type of question would they ask?can anyone share your experiance please icon_question.gif

Just prepare yourself mentally would be enough cos in the end i think what matters most would still be your Pre U results. And lecturers will only ask you things that you SHOULD know (common sense). So just answer according to what you are taught and answer it logically.

Like for example, why taking insulin orally is less effective than injection of insulin into patient's body? U should know why if u studied chemistry and biology. biggrin.gif

good luck!

Added on July 14, 2010, 3:12 pmAnd on a side note, lecturers there are very friendly so you can be rest assured of the interview being too formal, just treat it as a friendly conversation betw the lecturer and you. and ask everything that u are unsure of.

Its not THAT hard really. smile.gif

do you know how long an interview lasts? unsure.gif
should i brush up on the current issue in malaysia
THANK YOU for replying btw!   notworthy.gif

Then ar, try answer every questions that the lecturer ask logically of course. Is friday an open day for pharmacy course?

brush up on current issues??? lol, why the need? this is only an admission interview, not scholarship interview. Even if they ask, it'd be health issues but they dint ask any in my case.

My time, the interview lasted for about 45 mins, but my friend's only about 15 mins cos the lecturer dint ask her anything except her sponsorship and things like 'are u planning to stay on campus or off campus?' which is pretty unrelated to the course. Hence, it all still depends on which lecturer u get assigned to. Mine was dr andrew, so if u get him as your interviewer, be prepared to answer alot of science questions (again these question u can answer them using what your knowledge in bio and chem). biggrin.gif

A lil piece of advice here. Try to remember what the dean says during his presentation, some lecturer might ask during the interview. That's what happened to me. smile.gif

can i just hand in my form then interview?? i'm going there alone so i want to get it done as soon as possible

I'm afraid you cant. You are asked to hand in the form when you arrive there in the school of pharmacy.

After that, you'll be asked to enter a room where the dean will do his presentation on the course. I dont know if you can opt not to attend the talk, but the interview is going to start only after the talk and the campus tour. It'd look weird if you wait outside alone for the talk to end, no? Just go with the flow will make everything right.

And if you really dont want to attend the talk/campus tour, i think you can just mail them your application form and wait for them to call you for interview.

BTW, many went there alone too. I was one of these loners...before i met someone i know there coincidentally as she's one of the applicants too. lol smile.gif

Hey may i know what happens on registration day and induction day? and normally how long is the duration of these events? since studies only start on the 27th, i'm wondering whether i should move into my accommodation the weekend before the starting of the semester or before registration..  hmm.gif

If you have booked University Accommodation:-

You may wish to check into your accommodation before registration. Please contact Accommodation Office at +603-89248640.

I received a call the other day and the person told me to register on 21st but i checked the website and it says for FOS the registration starts on 22nd, will it be better if i go on the 22nd since i believe most ppl would probably go on the 21st...and what would happen if i dint attend the induction program? haha tongue.gif

ou....sad to hear that....actuali have to do diploma becoz of money matter..so now plan to continue degree, but money problem also....reali likes pharmacy very much

As far as I know diploma in pharmacy holders are only eligible for entry into Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science, I dont see anyone with diploma qualification got into Mpharm.

But I could be wrong. Do clarify with the student recruitment department. Its just a call away..xD

Happy 2011 everyone. biggrin.gif
