If let's say u stay in the same hall with ur fren and dun wish ur room but have files to transfer,can use MSN.
It did a great job.
Although not super fast,also can reach around 1MB/s..
Not sure whether they have done something to limit it or not.
But this is internal la.
Cross hall won't work.
But u can see other's music files thru iTunes.
But they have to switch it on.

Hey Seniors what to expect in mechanical engineering in nottingham? Isit fun boring or incredibly hard? How is the timetable, will it still start at 9am or earlier? I need to know to decide whether or not to stay in... Also about accommodation : Am i still VALID for the ON-campus if i am a progressing student from foundation? (I never stayed on or off campus b4) Thanks in advance for any info!

Finally a post that I can answer with full confidence. LOL!
For me, Mech is fun and challenging at the same time. It all depends on your interest, to be honest.
The earliest class for Mech is 9am, and you can find about 2 days where you need to wake up on that time (it all depends on how the timetable is set). One thing I find quite true though, is that for my first 2 years of studies, Mech students need to study for 5 days even though one of the days might have just 2 hours lectures.
Schedules may be a bit packed for Year 1 students as they are quite a number of labs/tutorials/workshops going on, but you'll just get used to it!

About the accommodation, please make a phone call to Pioneer or Perintis (you can probably find the numbers on the uni website). They will be the best to tell you whether you are eligible or not.
