Can someone kindly help me with the above question?

I'm new to this topic.

Not sure where I went wrong in the above, probably understanding of the basic idea is wrong?

Ahh the agony of MS Paint....

Btw, if there's no x in front of the e,
which means if it's directly 2e instead of 2xe,
then it would be quite straightforward and simple.

But in this case, not sure if I'm correct.

I think, if you get good grades in your Foundation, i.e. minimum 60% average, you will have a strong chance of using your Foundation results to enter Nottingham UK just like any other Intl student (You will have to ask the school for recommended average). The term "transfer" is usually used for students who have at least completed their 1st year in the M'sian campus, then apply for transfer to the UK or China for the rest of their studies commencing on their penultimate or final year. There's another thing called "exchange", whereby, during their penultimate year, students spend either 1 semester or 1 academic year in either the UK or China campus, or both (1 sem + 1 sem), so don't get all these mixed up.

Take note, transfer means you are applying to be a registered full time student at that particular institution, therefore you will be required to pay the international student fees starting from the year that you study there, and not the Malaysian fees. However, if you opt for exchange instead, you will still be paying the normal Malaysian fees with no extra charges other than lodging costs.

For the UK, the demand for exchange is high, so you'll need to get better grades to beat the competition.
I'd say 65% average would be a somewhat safe figure.

Anyway 65% (Second Class Upper in UK terms), is just 5% more than the minimum requirement for you to get good jobs anywhere in the world (just look at job advertisements:"possess a recognised undergraduate degree with at least a second class upper or its equivalent).

As for exchange to the China campus, 55% would already be a safe figure, since Malaysians generally have got a weird bias towards China, thus the lower competition, which is great! The more ignorant people are, the better opportunities you get in life, no?

Added on January 8, 2011, 10:46 pmBy the way, if you're interested in Engineering, and certain courses in particular, I recommend that you wait for tanjinjack's reply. Straight from the source would be better.

Unless you're saying the effort you put into it is trying to gain financial assistance/scholarship then that's understandable.

If you're going for prestige, the FAM would carry the most prestige. For example, in the China campus, students of FAM are told that they're the best among all the business school students. (most likely due to the high entry requirements).

FAM is short for the "Finance, Accounting, and Management" programme.

For specific details on the Econs programme, sorry, so far there's no one here doing it.

You've probably gotta email the university or make a trip there to enquire.

As per the above two comments, is there any indication that manthew intended to work his ass off in applying for scholarships? It sounds more like a sit and wait for Luck to arrive, while wasting the time of those who process his application.

Anyway, rephrase: Knock on all doors and make all the phone calls you can ever make in your whole life man. Don't bother if people view you as an annoying person, in the end, you don't need them anyway.
