FC , FD doesn't necessarily require P4 knowledge. P4 would be more relevant to investment analysts , fund managers , it will help in investment decisions better. More advanced techniques used.

anymore attended F8 workshop today? it's organised by ACCA Malaysia.
invited a Mat Salleh Tutor to train us at Park Royal Hotel. the workshop was ok ok coz not used to the tutor's accent but the food provided was really fantastic!
we were provided breakfast, morning tea, buffet lunch and high tea. unlimited drinks- coffee espresso honey lemon tea japanese tea etc....
paid RM70 for 2 days workshop, 9-5pm lectures for 2 days....buffet lunch for 2 days...very less students participated, i don't know why.
the name list was recorded 31 students, ended up 27+- appeared. 31*RM70=RM2170
i think ACCA has made a loss, since the food service was already exceeded RM2170 far far away, haven't added rental and other costs
anyway, i really feel like i go on a holiday

there is a F9 workshop this weekend which is 17 and 18 July....i really wanted to attend unfortunately timetable clash T.T
so anyone who is free and wanna try out new things (especially food) , go for it...it's worthwhile to take

for that pre-acquisition reserves, does it include all reserve? like forex reserves included or not?

Can someone explain the ways of marking for the ACCA - OBU (degree) exam?

OBU, refers to the BSC (Hons) in Applied Accounting by Oxford Brookes University, basically just submit an RAP (Research and Analysis Project) of 6500 words and your class of degree will be determined according to your average from F4-F9 papers together with your RAP grade.

does anyone know y the KAS textbook has their own cover and content look exactly like Kaplan book?just curious after received the book.

Maybe KAS paid for the right to publish the textbook? Sunway used to do that, pay for the softcopy + royalty and print it themselves.

at 1st thought of lecturers do notes, but i found out it is actually kaplan text book...

The lecturer's notes will come later ^^ I got the kaplan textbook and also my lecturer's own textbook plus misc materials last term. They don't give it all in one shot... some are given in the second term.

y KAS lessons haven touched on ACCA PYQ for p3...izit dr parminda will only teach during revision class?

You would only be able to attempt PYQ for P3 after you finish a bulk of the syllabus, otherwise it's pointless.
