if u r taking full-time then 3 papers should be no problem provided u really study during ur free time as well..not only attending classes itself..u hav to make sure u r discipline enough. P1 and P3 i suggest Parminder coz he is funny..the class is not boring..P2 Joe Fang is good in calculation and Haneef is good in theories..so both have pros n cons..depends on which u prefer..some ppl think that as long as u hav ur theories strong, u will know how to do ur calculation easily..Haneef calculation is good but he took a long way when Joe Fang use a short cut and get the same answer as well.so is hard to say which is good or bad..hehe.. sweat.gif

Thanks Pat,

I dunno whether I should choose sunway or kasturi at this moment?

on the classes conducted wise, I think sunway is good caused a lot of test will be given.
but kasturi no.

but kasturi lecturer is good.

i jsut register for sunway , but I'm thinking going kasturi...
which may caused my RM600, registration fees to be burnt. but anyway, it's ook..

Joe Fang not good in P2 , kasturi is it ?

Joe Fang is kasturi..i wont say he is not good..he is good in terms of calculation..for theories he dun build a strong foundation for standards coz during his 1st class he already says he expects students to put effort on their own knowing the standards..he is good in calculation vise..haneef is not very good in calculation presentation but theories vise he is good..haneef calculation is lengthy and he always provides T account for calculation so it might use up alot of time on that..joe fang uses short cut and save us time as well in calculation..both have their strong n bad points..so i guess is a 50-50 for both..cant help u in deciding for whose the best..is still up to individual.hehe

send email to ACCA, say that you never received your student card. they will replace it for you free!!!!

if you tell them you lost it, then not sure whether is there any penalties

no need much advise de..keep doing past year papers is enough for u to get a PASS. if u aim an 'A' then study notes and abit on P3..that should give u marks more than a PASS..and time management for all the past yrs u do..alot of them fail becoz not enough time to answer all questions..good luck ya..

Yes, it's still possible to pursue to ICAEW from CAT, I think only BDO executes this.

They came to Sunway TES, choosing a few students to take this course. I will make the 3rd batch if I were to accept this offer.

The condition is to finish 8 papers in 1 year without working part-time, then bond with the firm for 3 years. Throughout the 3 years of working, you'll get exposure to audit works and all, at the same time study for the last 3 papers which requires accumulated knowledge. All 3 papers will be attempted in the final year.

you will have to pay 10 pounds for it.
i dun think so that they will believe you didn't receive the student card, if you sit exams before, unless you are really new in ACCA
i faced this problem before, but was not that i lost my wallet, was because my card broken.
so i paid 10 pounds to replace a new one, about rm70+ that time. i just like, what the f u c k! just a bloody card cost me rm70+ for that.
but what to do?
2 weeks passed by, my card not yet delivered to me, so i wrote in to ACCA, inquire the reasons for the delay.
they said it will be delivered soon, so i kept waiting.
3rd week passed by, i still not yet receive my card, and again, i wrote to them again.

after few days, i received my card. another few more days later, i received my 2nd card again.
here comes the funniest part, again, i received my 3rd card! but, this time the card was printed with my name, but a "bangladesh" photo! sweat.gif

so, you can do like this too, keep on asking them why didn't you receive your card, and then they will keep sending your card.
but, don't be greedy, although 10 pounds for a student card as free is quite worthy to us la.

That fast ah ?
I heard most ICAEW bonds longer in Big4 cos most will take up to 2 month worth of study leave (1 month study and 1 month exam). So 4 months in 1 year which will make the bond longer than acca or cpa grads. For Big4 at least.
I have seen ICAEW past year paper for the 3 core subjects. Purely case study and its thick like a book. Need to digest hundreds of pages, analyse and answer in 4 hours. Crazy buggers.

There is a reason why BDO might do such things cos I heard labour turnover quite high over there so they need a permanent sort of staff on standby. So these ICAEW grads bonded cannot leave ady. You will see how any firms treat bonded staffs since they know they will not leave easily. reserved the worst workloads for them.

Em its 2 different thing studying and managing your workload at the same time especially in audit. if you audit a PLC which is unlikely for first year auditor but possible then you may need to work like hell and study at the same time. I only sleep for 3 hours everyday this week to submit my report to cover lost ground on those went for study exams.

tell them you never received it, they will replace it free of charge ( but if you are ACCA student for quite a number year, they maybe dunt believe, you just try it la.... )
If you tell them you lost it, there will be a charge for 10pounds.

I heard from my frens PAAC lecturer oso not bad but not sure coz i don't attend his class. sweat.gif sweat.gif
I think Thenesh is good coz he make us do past yr questions in evry classes and simplifies some formulas not based on text bk..easier to memorise..
From his experienced when he was taking ACCA, he passed all papers in 1st sitting, for sure he knows how to tackle with the exam questions..this is his plus point.
Overall, i think he is good..smile.gif
