I don't think so as Proton stop product the old version Persona. I believe yours should be manufactured on year 2009 and that the reason why you got the discount 1K.

you can try ecotint raybarrier, i'm using it so far so good

The SA told me that the new Persona is casing 0.18 - 0.22 per km... any prove?

bro how much is it roughly??? cuz it gets pretty nasty with the dirt stuck under the rear bumper and also the tar like dirt stuck behind the wheels up front under the running board.

yes i heard about it as well... my salesman got kang tau for this... gonna approach him soon to gather more facts.

Test drove the new car AT M-Line, here's what i think for the comparison:

- NVH is indeed slight better than the old one, the engine sound is quieter than my M-Line even i did the soundproofing.
- freaking cool instrumental meter, i like the red light needle part and dimming part.
- break still remain unchange, spongy.....
- handling is still the same except my streering starting got cracking sound (sigh)
- power, i found it the old one has more power, maybe because facelifted is a new car (not seasoned yet) and my M-line is MT
- chiffon green first colour that makes me drool about it
- new side rear mirror is huge compare to old one! reduced a lot of blindspot.
- AC kompressor quieter than old one

if you guys try to notice, the facelifted AC pipe is different with the old one.


picture above is the old model version, when u test drive the persona elegance, try to open the engine bay and check the same red spot with the above picture, u will know what i mean wanna ask the SA about the difference about that but he seems doesnt know much about technical from the very beginning when he intro the car, so i'll just ask my favourable SC manager when i going for my next 10k service
from what i think so far, persona really has a bad wiring(grounding is very bad), even their facelifted version, i still think they has some bad wiring as well compare with others car, especially they putting a noisiness/powerful kompressor which will make the power lag (it's so obvious and it's very annoying everytime it kicks in) and i see a lot of persona (near to 50%) on the road the rear light always only 3 red bulb lighting up(usually 4), plus the automatic transmission is not responsive at all. So if possible, i highly recommend it to install VS with 5 grounding kits. We got a few persona owner who installed the VS+5 grounding kits, makes a lot of difference for the smoothness, not to mention it improved the fc as well.

i prefer spend little $$$ on timing belt rather than timing belt broken and cause the cam broken...

i called proton I care, H-line will be relaunch on 18-19 april.

Just now i ask a badminton kaki, (he is Proton sales man) and he confirm that Elegance AUTO all version have problem with the ECU. Car cannot start.

nice...just found out by using esso ron95 (compared to my usual shell ron95) my persona performs better...i mean the pickup is better, acceleration feels lighter and my engine sound is lower...stepping on the accelerator while overtaking normally make my engine roar, but with this petrol it didn't...considering to try bhp later to see if there's any difference...

Haven't been to Camerons in a long time. But I'm guessing it's steeper than Genting.

Drove my first gen Persona all the way up to the top of Genting before. 5 people in a car, proudest moment is when some Nissan Sentra (I think the newest one, the one in NFS Underground 2) tried to race with me and failed and that car only 2 people.

No stress to the engine, temperature didn't go up or any side effects. Except when going down, scary...

Where to tune?

Anyone know how much is the depreciation rate for our Persona after the first 1 year in term of percentage ? More than 10% ?

hey guys....my car today weird...my petrol niddle sign suddenly jump to Empty and the "icon" lighted up when i start engine this afternoon.. but i stil remember i saw around half tank when i parked in office..so i was shocked and i decided to pump petrol because it's really weird feeling and the petrol wont move up when i pijak the petrol..so after few turning before reaching the petrol station..suddenly the niddle jump back to half tank @@" and it was back to normal! i was huh ???coz my SA free full tank for me last friday..i only drive around 230km with the  full tank? @@so its kinda weird..and my brake got sound yiikk yiiiikkkkkkkk when i step slowly on it

That one is the brake pump behind problem. Alignment run a bit and clearance problem . Need some adjustment only. I fix mine at Midah SC.
