I mean what do you plan to do afterward. Going for something like ACCA?CPA? etc.? You want to become an Accountant? You want to further study after your Degree into masters or something?

and when you said it was more recognized. You mean it's more recognized as in?

Don't need to learn basic stuff in UWE? Look at the course structure.

You still need to learn Business Statistics and
Global Business Context is actually pretty similar to Economics lol ^^"
see their description

Global Business Context (UMED7A-20-1, UMEC7A-20-1, UMECX5-20-1)
In a fast moving and increasingly globalised business environment, it is essential that all students on business-related programmes have knowledge of certain structured tools of analysis which allow them to understand both the forces driving change in that environment and how they impact upon business. This module is designed to give you the tools and frameworks to allow you to analyse and comment on the global, regional and national economic environment of business in a structured and rigourous way using accepted analytical frameworks from both business and economics. For full details, including assessment, please see the Module Specification.

Lol.. Sorry, my bad...

I might to do either ACCA or CPA but not sure about that yet... I would like to be an accountant but I would'nt want to learn just accounting because it would be too boring... Therefore, I would like to learn Finance too.... 50/50 of both...

I heard it's more recognized for other University when you want to further your studies and also when you're looking for a job, it's better to have UWE compared to UniSA... Not sure about that, I heard different stories from different people even from different counsellor....

Well if your looking for a job here it's pretty much the same. Most employers here understand the difference of UK and Aussie systems so coming into a job interview with a First Class Honours degree from UWE or a High Distinction average from UniSA won't much difference. They understand that in aussie you need an extra year that's only based on invitation for Honours and most people won't get this chance.

On furthering your studies I'm not really sure on can one use an aussie pass degree to continue in places that usually ask for Honours Degrees so I can't say much on that.

Bristol Business School and UniSA is quite famous as well. The UniSA business school is also EQUIS accredited.
If you want to continue to CPA or ACCA UniSA can get you maximum exemptions for both. The UWE degree can get you maximum exemptions for ACCA and 7 paper exemptions for ICAEW, not sure if it can get exemptions for CPA.

For the club and societies, if I joined, is it compulsory to attend their activities/meeting and is it possible to quit if I found out that I don't like it at all?

You need to go HELP's exam unit and request for them to produce a transcript for you that shows that you have already passed Malaysian Studies and Moral Studies.
Taylor's won't allow exemptions unless you can produce something that proves you have taken the subjects before.

No it's not compulsory. You can quit if you want to.
Some clubs will kick you out themselves if you don't come to often without giving an excuse ahaha =D or you can just stop appearing at meetings.
This is not school ^^

Hi, I am new here. I would like to ask something regarding the subject offered by CAL. Must Further Mathematics be taken as 4th subject? Intially, I was planning to take Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, 3 subjects. However, I browsed through the website and saw that statement. I am worried that if I were to take 4 subjects, I will not be able to perform very well in all four of the subjects. Therefore, I am here to seek any opinion, suggestion or advice. Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

Well probably because Further Math is not available at AS level and is only available at A Level. I'm not very sure on it you would have to talk to a counselor on it ^^" Probably try to find a combination that have an easier subject as your 3rd subject?

You can give it to them later if you don't currently have it. Just make sure to pass a certified copy to your Divisional office and fill up the exemption request form once you have it ^^

There's a list of available combinations and you can choose from that list which combinations you want to enroll into since they need to form a class with each of those combination. The march intake usually have more limited combinations available

Bsc. Architecture people? They don't have the time to check in here lol. biggrin.gif

BTW, I wonder why had Taylors just increased the fees recently; for us existing students...?? (I checked the fees & already paid the correct amount last week, but then to my great surprise, I saw the fees increased a few days ago by a couple of hundred for each of the subjects & the computer fees, now giving me the outstanding fees... hmm.gif)

(This is breaking their promise & integrity, because it was clearly stated that existing students pay the old fees as agreed upon in their enrollment earlier.) I am their old student from the year 2008 intake. (The other 55 students in my intake are also experiencing the same issue, but they are not doing anything about it... tongue.gif )

hmm.gif

I don't know about you guys but the business school has been experiencing some problem lately with the system.
My sister still can't pay her fees cause the system is having a lot of errors, thee fee listed in her portal is not correct, her study grant amount wasn't deducted, she was charged for taking twice the number of the subjects she enrolled in etc.
Seems when she and a few others went to ask the divisional office to ask it seems Taylor's is "upgrading" their systems and all of them are not in sync with each other and the IT department is trying to fix it and that's been going on since two or three weeks ago and she had to go a few times to uni to straighten some things out with subject registration and such ^^"

You could go take the matter up with your divisional office or your dean and inform the student council.
