I'm going to TCSH for CAL next january.I was informed that the orientation will be on 18 JAN 2011.However, I don't know what to bring on that day and the Taylor's tee is for what purpose?Do I have to wear it during the orientation?

Receipt, if you were promised a bag then you might be able to get one. Forget about the t-shirt.

Would you like to buy books?

Dear all Taylor's students,

Would love to know whether Suriamas is more preferable by y'all or the housing area around pjs7?
I have been thinking but a decision hasnt been made.
Actually I prefer the housing area in PJS7 more.
The pros is that i do not need to wait and squeeze into the bus every morning.
The cons is that, how if it rains?
i will have no way to go home if it rains. ):
(maybe i can keep a fold-able umbrella in bag everyday?)
For Suriamas, the pros is that bus service is available even it rains. I do not need to worry about it.
However, I need to wait for the bus and yes, need to follow the bus schedule and maybe wake up earlier. tongue.gif
Can anyone tell me more about accommodation?
Thank you. (:

Do they have lockers in TCSH?Walking back with wet books and electronics doesn't seem like a good idea. How do students usually overcome this problem besides waiting fir the rain to subside?Just wrap with a waterproof seal and start walking?

Well, you might have bus if you stay in Suriamas but please do remember the bus doesn't exactly stops in front of Suriamas. It stops in front of Ridzuan and you have to walk there. So even if it's raining, you still have to run over to the bus which is bout 2-3 minutes of walking from inside Suriamas. Bus schedule is not a problem since the bus is pretty much on track(according to what I experienced last year).

If you prefer to stay nearer to campus, there's Sunway Court(bout 10 minutes of walking) and Mutiara Perdana(5 minutes of walking).

Both of the apartment is almost the same. Sunway Court looks more expensive but its old while Mutiara Perdana looks abit cheap, but its really new and the environment is pretty good. It's not dangerous or anything like that. Another thing is, internet is not so good in Mutiara Perdana. Most broadband can't be used there except Maxis and its a pain.

If you prefer conveniece, Suriamas is definitely the better place since there's food and all.

Thank you for the guidance.
Err, how about staying in the landed house opposite to lakeside campus? Is it better compared to Mutiara perdana?
I prefer to stay in the landed house but the "raining" matter worries me. Getting back home wet is still considered ok but i am afraid of getting late or wet while attending lectures. ): sometimes an umbrella doesn't help when it rains heavily ):
Ahh! I haven't settle my accommodation but the commence date is getting nearer...

Teaching quality wise it's about the same. Even though Hartamas is newer than subang some of the lecturers there came from Subang and Taylor's try to get the best people they can.
Subang is also cheaper than Hartamas. I pretty much prefer Subang but you also have to see which location is convenient for you etc.

Ausmat and SAM is treated as the same as they are both Australian Year 12 programmes even though from different states of Australia, so yes ^^

well I'm not quite sure on condos or apartments but there's sure a lot of houses for rent in Subang there, if you get enough people it could become quite affordable.
Where are you from? the easiest way to find a deal is of course to go around yourself and look at the vacancies.

You only need to take the Certificate in Hotel Operations first if you do not posses 3 credits that are required to enroll in the Diploma programme. If you have three or more credits you can straight enroll in the Diploma if you don't you need to take the Certificate first since the entry requirement for the Certificate is just 1 credit in SPM

hey guys, if anyone can help me with my question i'll be really thankful.

so i applied for a university overseas through taylors, and when i was filling up the application form i only filled in 1 major that i wanted to take when i actually wanted to apply for a double major.
because i only realised after the form was sent, i couldnt change.
do you think i could still change after they send me the acceptance letter back?
