I come from Miri, Sarawak. I need ways from the airport going to university. What transportation should i take and cheap, but i can consider alternatives that i think easier for me to go around.
*
Well one way is to take a taxi straight from the airport to Taylor's University but that's expensive lol
next would be to take the train or bus(the bus is cheap about RM10-RM15) to KL Sentral.
From there it depends on what time it is and it's best that you email Taylor's to get information on the schedule for shuttle bus so you can time yourself for the next step.
From KL Sentral you can take the KTM train and head to Subang Jaya and if you know the schedule take the shuttle bus to TU or take taxi.
Or from KL Sentral you can take the Putra LRT and head to the Kelana Jaya Station. From there you can again take taxi or Rapid KL bus U623 that will bring you near to TU. It will be at Jalan PJS 7/13 in the bus stop in the first housing area the bus brings you to. Don't worry, you will see a lot of signs from Taylor's when you get near the Housing area. From there since the selfish old people in charge of the Resident's Association of Bandar Sunway forced Taylor's University to close the gate from the housing area you either take a dangerous step and walk next to the highway to enter Taylor's or if you have the shuttle bus schedule wait for the shuttle bus that will take you from that bus stop into the University, again I advice you to email taylor's to get the schedule. Emailing Admissions is a bit slow on responding so I think it's better that you email Student Central since they are faster studentcentral.tuc@taylors.edu.my and ask for the shuttle bus schedule.
I heard there's another way to go in through the housing area that will bring you into the Zone H parking area but I have not tried it so I don't know on that. Anyway hope this has helped ^^"

Hi, I plan 2 apply 4 national scholarship by using my forecast result(10A), how much entitlement will I get? hmm.gif

you would have to email Taylor's on that. They haven't published the booklet for 2011 scholarships so I don't have the info.

ERM, according to the course structures, there'll be 7 electives.
A maximum of 4 subjects i may choose from the communication and the remaining 3 subjects?
Those 3 subjects must be chosen from either Accounting or Applied Finance?
I do not have any interest in accounting hence the remaining 3 subjects i must 'force' myself to choose them from applied finance. ==

yeah other than the core subjects and subjects from your major you have to take 7 more elective subjects to fulfill requirements to get a Degree.
If you were to complete the Degree in Taylor's University yeah that is your only choice you can take up to 4 subjects from the School of Communication and you would have to choose the other 3 from either Accounting or Applied Finance since you have no interest in Accounting you would have to take Finance Subjects.
This is so because you need the credits to earn your Degree. If your in UniSA, Adelaide those 7 electives can actually be taken from any faculty in UniSA as long as your programme director approves it but since your in Malaysia you can only take subjects from the other UniSA degrees available in Taylor's which are applied finance and accounting. 4 subjects can be taken from the school of communication is because the mass communication degrees are also offered through a twinning with UniSA so you can take their subjects but it is limited to those 4 due to several reasons like limited resources, pre-requisites etc.

hope that has helped ^^"

yes the UniSA Bachelor of Applied Finance offered in Taylor's University is recognized by the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA) and is also fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA)

You can check up on them on the respective government agency's website like below

icic, seems like it's not a wise choice for me since i need to force myself to take the remaining electives from applied finance. ):

one more question bro, i wonder that, how should i arrange the elective? i mean the elective in each semester mus be synchronized with the subject in the other course?
eg, during year two semester one, i need to take the elective from the school of communication/school of accounting&finance at the same level?

There will be some guides on how to arrange the courses if you enroll into the programme. Not necessarily you have to put only courses of the same level, you can push some lower level subject electives to do later in the third year as well. Not necessarily all four subjects you take in that particular semester must be that level's subject.

I already told you in the same post as the links that they are recognized and accredited by the respective Government agencies which oversees programmes offered by Institutes of Higher Education in Malaysia.

I just gave you those links in case you would want to double check it ^^"

This is ridiculous, you pay tuition fees and the staffs receive wages but they have priorities to park their cars.

It will be held in Taylor's University Lakeside , Taylor's College Subang Jaya and also Taylor's College Sri Hartamas.
Click the link to see what's in store

You could apply for scholarships etc. on that day. If your not eligible for any other scholarship/bursary you can get RM 200 off the registration fees.
hum I think registration fee was RM600 last time.
If you want to register for TBF on that day, you would need to bring your original IC and also your SPM trial results. Bring a photocopy of each as well, they need to look at the originals and the photocopy to certify the photocopies and also two pieces of a recent passport size photo of you.

well you could say it's ridiculous I'm against it to, but your tuition fees don't include parking fees as well. It's a form of staff benefits.
