Yes, he is still a student there. Not sure about his major course tongue.gif

To do 3+0 or 2+1 depends on you. If you ask me there's not much difference besides a change in environment and perhaps different learning experience while you're at oversea. If you wanna experience some change, then you can go uniSA for your last year degree. No added advantage or whatever since in the end your certificate will be the same no matter its 3+0 or 2+1.

haha actually I believe hikari just graduated not too long ago...

Shankar: Yeah there will be alot of chinese students... however this will hold true for any other private university college in Malaysia... so it's not going to be very much different anywhere else ^^;;; Dress code is casual... just don't dress too wildly or shabbily...

are you still  a student in taylors college ?
what did you major in ?

which is better, should i do my the whole 3 year program( bachelor of applied finance } with tuc  or  2 yrs with tuc and 1 year with uniSA ?
what courses do this foreign students normally enroll in ?
can i know hows theenvironment in taylors college lakeside campus ?

i am not being racist, but just curious to know, majority are chineese students right ?
do we have to wear  a uniform or can dress up casual ?
*
I'm not telling my major people can identify me to easily now already ahaha.

Yeah I'm no longer a student in TUC since last July though I still go there occasionally to hang out with friends, pick up some documents and fill in some forms, events etc. =D
Though not really count as graduate la I'm taking some time off to work for a while and gain some experience before I transfer to Australia next February ^^ still waiting for offers from some Universities before I decide which one ^^

Well there's not really much difference whether you transfer to Adelaide or stay in Malaysia. You still get the same transcripts and the same degree.
The significant difference being it's more expensive in Adelaide, you can get some more new experience in Adelaide and you would have a wider choice of electives if you were to go to Adelaide as they allow you to choose from any subject in the University for your open electives not just subjects from the Division of Business (If you stay in TUC your choice of electives are limited to subjects from the Accounting and Marketing Major and certain subjects from the School of Communication since they also twin with UniSA if your Main Major is Applied Finance).
There's always foreign students in most of the courses though the most I met was from the Business Division and Hospitality since those two are the two largest Division's in TUC ^^"
The environment in Lakeside is ok, though maybe a bit tiresome to walk around ahaha. I see the shops at the Lakeside Plaza are starting to open now so there should be more food options now lol >_<

Yeah the majority of students shall be Chinese but like nicky87 said, that is mostly true in most popular IPTS in Malaysia.
For UniSA you dress casual as long as it doesn't go against TUC's dresscode =D

Well I would recommend it but that's my choice though it's really subjective which uni is recommended according to your specific case and preference.

Taylor's University College does not have a CAT programme and only provides ACCA tuition for the last 5 professional papers. As TUC encourages students to go through a pre-u programme and then a Degree first before proceeding to ACCA. You might want to check out Sunway if your interested in CAT and ACCA.
If you have excellent results in SPM there's a lot of scholarships for pre-u/foundation and then Degree programmes in Taylor's =)

I chose Taylor's over Monash to study Accounting and finance in UWE... another degree programme in TUC... I enjoyed my time in TUC is all I can say... Would not go back on the decision I made then. Up to you to decide wink.gif

TUC only offers the final 5 papers (Professional Level), They may expand eventually but I doubt it'll be soon enough for you... Sunway offers CAT-->ACCA If I am not mistaken it should be around 30k-40k? It would be better if you asked about this in the ACCA thread... there are some sunway CAT students there who can give you a more exact figure. Same goes for scholarships I think Sunway gives out scholarships but how much and in what form i do not know... I know it'll probably last for a semester and then it is dependent on whether you win world and malaysian prizes...

Anyway why not do a degree??? smile.gif

The last I heard one paper in Taylors is rm1400, so you take that and multiply by 5 you will get 7k. On top of that you will have to pay 69pounds for annual membership plus 81 pounds per paper you take... Assuming all things constant, you take 1 year, 2 semesters to complete the 5 papers and with no failure it would be 69pounds+81*5pounds=474pounds which is equivalent to RM2370 (exch rate rm5=1pound) Also you have to pay exemption fees for the exempted papers which was about 555pounds for me... again assuming all things are constant that is about rm2775.

So the total would be 7k+2370+2775=rm12145. <<< This is under the assumption you pass ALL papers at first go, you do not take additional revision classes, the ACCA does not increase the fees and you took all 5 professional papers in Taylors.

Well I can't say much about the equipments there as I'm not an engineering student so from my eyes it just looks like cool equipment and power tool ahaha =D

Some of my friends do complain that some equipment are not available sometimes as seem they take a bit of time to fix and do maintenance if stuff goes wrong ^^"

Well as in most course except maybe the English Intensive courses there is of course more local students than foreigners there ^^

yeah of course not all equipment just certain stuff.People pay so much to TUC and they try to provide their customers with the best they can ^^.
I'd say the Division of Engineering has among the highest PhD holders as Lecturers among the Divisions in Taylor's =D
TUC have had quite a good track record these few years considering they just started offering their own programme for a few years among other things

The Commencement date of the programme? Well they haven't published it yet but most probably the date would be around 21st February from the way the system goes.

Hey a few questions about the accomodation.

1. I've heard that only those living PJS 7 can apply for the back gate access card? How about those living in the hostel? Can apply also?

2. Do the hostel provide Wi-Fi service? Any extra charges for that?

3. How about laundry? Someone told me we need to pay RM 60 per month for laundry and they only limit you to like 15kg, is it true?

4. If I paid 2 months deposit for the hostel. They said i could settle the rest upon checking in. So how much do i need to pay when check in, 6 months rent or 4 months?

Thanks in advance for taking your time!
