If you take SAM/CAL/CPU/IBDP/STPM etc. then you don't need to take foundation =) Depends on which you like, the systems between them a lot difference and one thing is if you go SAM you need to get ATAR 65 if I'm not mistaken to get into the business degree programmes in TUC but for Foundation as long as you complete the programme no matter what your grades, your guaranteed entry into the business Degree programmes in Taylor's.
Though if you do SAM/CAL/CPU etc. you would have a wider choice on where you can go and do your degree afterward if you decide you don't want to study in Taylor's anymore after pre-u ^^"

Hum that's subjective to what kind of person you are. Here's some simple explanations on how some of the pre-u programmes are.
You can use either one of these to get into a Taylor's Business Degree programme or go somewhere else.

Cambridge A-Levels (18 months)
Totally 100% on exams.Separated into two major exams AS Level and A2 Level. After 1 year of study you take AS Level.6 months after that you take A2 Level. Then the combination of the two you get your grades. The norm is taking 3 subjects but there is a lot of people taking 4 subjects as well and some either genius or idiot students taking 5 and 6 subjects lol ^^"
Assestment
100% Final Exams
Awarding Body
University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
Entry Requirement for TUC Degree Business Admin : CDD

Canadian Pre-University (1 year of 2 semesters or 1 ½ years of 3 semesters, if required)
Must take 6 subjects inclusive of English. So 3 subjects per semester. Students who lack pre-requisite preparation may need additional courses requiring 3 semesters to complete the programme.
Assestment
70% continuous assessment and 30% final examination
Awarding Body
Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada
Entry Requirement for TUC Degree Business Admin : Minimum 65% in the best 6 subjects

South Australian Matriculation (1 Year)
Must take 5 subjects inclusive of English as Second Language Studies (ESL Studies)
Assessment Style
Internal Assessment (50% - 70 %) and External Assessment (30% - 50%) Most Subjects are 50% internal(Assignments,Quizes,Semester Exams etc.), 50% Final Exam at the end of the year.
Awarding Body
SACE Board of South Australia
Entry Requirement for TUC Degree Business Admin : ATAR 65

Taylor's Business Foundation (1 year)
You will have to take 10 Subjects throughout three semester. Two long Semesters which are 14 weeks and one short semester which is 7 weeks.Though the number of subjects are more than the others you do a few each semester and once your done with the subjects, you can forget it in the next semester. You don't need any of it in next sems. The only one that might have been connected is just Accounting 1 and Accounting 2.
Assessment Style
50% Continuous Assessments and 50% Final Exam
Awarding Body
Taylor's University College.
Entry Requirement for TUC Degree Business Admin : Successful Completion

From these you decide which is more suited for you.

If your sure you want to study in Taylor's yeah Foundation is a pretty good choice as you will be guaranteed entry into the Degree Programme.
yeah 2 long semesters which is 14 weeks each and 1 short semester which is 7 week each.If you count exams as well add 1 week to each semester and there's a two week holiday between the semesters.

yeah hum it'll be a bit different like which intake you come in but about the same.
Lets say you come in during the January Intake.
You start in January with a short semester which is 8 weeks if you include exams.Usually there's about a week holiday in the middle for Chinese new year. Then you get two weeks holiday after the exams. Then you start the new sem which is 15 weeks including exam then two more weeks holiday then 15 more weeks of your last semester and if all goes well you will be finishing around November. Your exam results will come out during the Friday of your second week of holiday. Now if you got through all your papers this is where your foundation end if you fail a bit and qualify for supplementary exam then you got one or two more exam to take one week after results comes out ^^"

Anyway assuming all goes well, you end in November and have a bit of holiday about one month+ until if you want to join the UWE Accounting & Finance Degree. If you want to join any other programme like Business Admin,Marketing,International Business,Human Resource Management,Applied Finance etc. which are under UniSA twinning and TUC-UWE Dual Degree you will be having your holidays up until the end of the next year's February.
This is because UWE only have intakes during January and September/October while UniSA and TUC-UWE only have intakes during February and July.
The timeline will be a bit different depending if you join which intake of Foundation whether January,March or July.

Grr.... called up the enrollment manager and inquired about the First Class Honours for RMIT Computer Science Program and told her about the PTPTN loan converting into scholarship. She told me no such thing. I loled at my heart saying what kind of manager is this.... She also told me that RMIT/Australian programs do not have Hons.

I was quite sure what you said was true Hikari0307, regarding the invitation to further study another year at RMIT Melbourne for First Class Honours.

http://www.rmit.edu.au/browse/Staff%2FAdmi....3%20procedure/

As far as I know RMIT does have a award title of First Class Honours for Computer Science.

I then questioned her about the CGPA required for such, but since she does not know PTPTN conversion to scholarship exists, she said she don't know.

Next I asked her about early bird discount. She said I'm only eligible to 10% discount for first year only since I continued from Taylors Sri Hartamas. Previously at Sri Hartamas, I was entitled to 30% discount since I was from a sister school + early bird discount of 10%.

I'm curious.... anymore scholarships that I do not know? I have to find out more about the first class honours thing sigh.

Back in Sri Hartamas you were taking Pre-U right? They have this 30% discount for developing town so your town might be 1 of them.
