Almost all the G73JH currently are shipped with 1333 RAM due to shortages of the 1066 RAM and if you were to do your research, you will find that there aren't any significant differences between the two.
My advice to you if you're gonna get the G73JH is to check the version properly as there are quite a few versions out there and make sure the specs such as screen resolution, hdd, blu-ray/dvd, targus backpack, rog mouse, and so on and so forth
There are many opportunist around trying to sell these without pointing out the difference between each versions . . so BEWARE. Do your research

Yeap there are various versions for the G73JH. There are the main ones which are the A1 & A2 and then you have stripped down versions like the BB ones. There are also other versions which I am too lazy to search for now lolz.
But to be safe, just go for either the A1 or A2 version which comes wit the Targus Backpack and Asus ROG mouse. Get them from any reputable US Reseller and with the favorable exchange rate atm, you can get an A2 for RM5.5k or less including shipping

Before I had my G73JH-A2, I didn't realise how much difference the screen resolution would make. Now I know why many would rather wait for the A1/A2 then get a BB version in the states

No need to be sorry. I am just pointing out that there have been direct comparisons made by owners of the G73JH who has the 1333 and 1066 RAM and the results are pretty interesting . . especially for someone like you who are into RAMs

Too bad there aren't price summary as well. To me, the BB ones are just not worth it.

Same here but because of the popularity of these things right now, getting the A1 or A2 is much more worth it. Some resellers like Newegg and Amazon has the X models which does not come with the bag and mouse but are priced the same or even more expensive than the A models because they have them in stock previously. (not forgetting the X models has less HDD ).

That being said, I am loving the bag and mouse The bag is spacious and comfortable . . even though I would have preferred an extra compartment and better inside padding heh. The mouse is also nice and it complement the laptop pretty well especially in the dark lolz.

My only "complains" so far are the chiclet keyboards. Those really suck I find myself mis-typing very often on the G73JH . . . and might just hook up an extrenal keyboard heh.

If 50-55wpm should be ok kua lolz. Mine is 80-85wpm.

Yea . . but keyboards are an essential item for a PC or a Notebook regardless if its a work station or a gaming rig. If going by what you say, then gaming rigs shouldn't come with keyboards but gamepads and joysticks instead lol. ( I know many wouldn't mind this lolz)

Just for the sake of argument / debating if you want to put it nicely . . even if you hardly use it, when you use it . . you still want it to be good right?

It's like you hardly adjust you radio volume . . but by the time you want to adjust it . . it doesn't do its job well, eg: being too loud or too soft with no in between

If I were to type fast, around 80-85wpm, it does screwed up a sentence pretty badly. And the spacebar is squeaky as well lol. . . but I'll live with it . . or get an external keyboard soon for stuff other than gaming

Sidenote: Am gonna install Dirt 2 and Grid on the G73JH soon

I would think long fingers are an advantage cos i have short fingers lol. And the chiclet keyboard really depends on how you type. I have problems when I type with my palms resting on the laptop. If one were to type like how they type on the old typewriters..then I guess they won't have any problems heh.

Ziddy from NBR swears by the chiclet keyboard on his G73JH and puts the blame squarely on sissy typers like me lolz.

That depends really. Some are saying the high 50s - low 60s (celcius) of idle temps on the G73JH are not good. For me, its the best I've had so far because my laptop does not "burn" my hands while I am using it . . unlike my previous experience with Acer and HP. What more, this is a gaming laptop and not the previous 2 lol. So I am very satisfied with the cooling system of my G73JH

If you ain't getting deals like the above, then I do not see a reason why anyone else who wants to get this laptop not order from a US reseller themselves . . rather than paying a few hundred more and get someone else to do something you can easily do yourself. What more, some might even sell you an inferior model but expects you to pay more than an A1 or A2 lol.

Maybe you can try with reading properly before lambasting me . . and I don't see why I should sell you something which I bought for myself. Do you know the word sense? If you do . . then go make some of it for yourself. If you don't . . go check it out in a dictionary. If you don't have a good dictionary, I would suggest you go invest in one and the check it out

On Amazon . . yea I wonder why the resellers still have a list of pre-orders since Amazon have stock. Maybe . . . just maybe . . and this is all my personal opinion . . . prospective customers nowadays does their research on prices of the product they want to buy and actually would rather wait it out with a reputable reseller than buy something similar for a few hundred bucks more. It is even worse when you're paying more for an inferior product lol.

Did you check the stated estimated delivery date when you first ordered?
Did you contact any sales rep from MA before ordering?
Did anyone from MA sent you a confirmation that your funds have been received after you place your order?
Have you contacted anyone from MA to check on your status?

If you have read through this thread, I am surprised that you went ahead and ordered from MA. Their customer service has been really "top notch!" . Do note the " .. "

OMG...I thought their customer service was the dumps . . but this is just too much! I don't understand why anyone should ever want to give this company any business from now onwards. Not responding to prospective customer is bad enough, but to renege on delivery time . . what more by 2-3 months is just

naim . . get your money back and order from US resellers or pm corallinkz . . he is giving a good deal at the moment

The customs form is just RM18. Another of their "brilliant" idea to get some duit kopi from us. Granted, the customs officer I dealt with that day was pretty nice. I just had to purchase the form, let them chop a few times . . and I am out of the complex. The officer didn't even wanted me to open the box to inspect if i were actually ordering a laptop or semtex or C4

Yeap, 2-Years Global Warranty was one of the deal clinchers for me as well

I think ASUS has a 30 day no pixel warranty unlike Some other brands heh. Unless you want to warranty it for longer and have lost of dough in your bank . . then I see no reason in purchasing that. However, don't take my word for it . . its been a month or two since i researched about the laptop heh...go do your homework
