QUOTE(putochip123 @ May 15 2010, 11:58 PM) LOL . . . I see no reason why you are afraid to reveal your version unless you wanna start something fishy Anyway, don't bother to reply if you ain't revealing your oh-so-great-version p.s: when i said don't bother to reply . . I mean to me personally. You can of course continue to contribute to this thread This post has been edited by tek: May 16 2010, 12:33 AM |

QUOTE(wan_tttt @ May 16 2010, 12:42 AM) good man, some vendor supplied with just 1066 only that can be hurt a bit Almost all the G73JH currently are shipped with 1333 RAM due to shortages of the 1066 RAM and if you were to do your research, you will find that there aren't any significant differences between the two. thanxs alot my friend, being searching for new lappy for several month My advice to you if you're gonna get the G73JH is to check the version properly as there are quite a few versions out there and make sure the specs such as screen resolution, hdd, blu-ray/dvd, targus backpack, rog mouse, and so on and so forth There are many opportunist around trying to sell these without pointing out the difference between each versions . . so BEWARE. Do your research This post has been edited by tek: May 16 2010, 12:49 AM |

QUOTE(nicks @ May 16 2010, 01:20 AM) tek, Yeap there are various versions for the G73JH. There are the main ones which are the A1 & A2 and then you have stripped down versions like the BB ones. There are also other versions which I am too lazy to search for now lolz. what do u mean version? is the A1 and A2 version? or did something else need to know for buyers? But to be safe, just go for either the A1 or A2 version which comes wit the Targus Backpack and Asus ROG mouse. Get them from any reputable US Reseller and with the favorable exchange rate atm, you can get an A2 for RM5.5k or less including shipping Before I had my G73JH-A2, I didn't realise how much difference the screen resolution would make. Now I know why many would rather wait for the A1/A2 then get a BB version in the states QUOTE(wan_tttt @ May 16 2010, 01:16 AM) sorry if i`m not believing your words but myself already installed and tested more than 200 pieces of ram since past 12 years, No need to be sorry. I am just pointing out that there have been direct comparisons made by owners of the G73JH who has the 1333 and 1066 RAM and the results are pretty interesting . . especially for someone like you who are into RAMs This post has been edited by tek: May 16 2010, 01:52 AM |

QUOTE(hatshepsut @ May 16 2010, 11:26 AM) http://www.em-zero.com/index.php/2010/02/a...del-comparison/ Nice one hatshepsut Found a link of comparison between A1, A2, X1, X2, X3 @ NBR. The differences are just between blu-ray/dvd, 2hdd/1hdd and whether backpack and mouse are included or not. Then you have the BB versions of RBBX05 and RBBX09, which has 1600X900 screen resolution (either LG or AUO screen). We also have a TZ008X version in Aus which is same as A1 but with Win 7 Pro and an addition of a gaming headset. Hehe.. Too bad there aren't price summary as well. To me, the BB ones are just not worth it. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ May 16 2010, 12:30 PM) personally i don't mind about bag and mouse. i mean i want them, but its not a factor for me to decline from buying this pricewise gaming lappy. Same here but because of the popularity of these things right now, getting the A1 or A2 is much more worth it. Some resellers like Newegg and Amazon has the X models which does not come with the bag and mouse but are priced the same or even more expensive than the A models because they have them in stock previously. (not forgetting the X models has less HDD ).sometimes people care more about something small rather, and forgot the bigger picture. That being said, I am loving the bag and mouse My only "complains" so far are the chiclet keyboards. Those really suck This post has been edited by tek: May 16 2010, 12:57 PM |

QUOTE(hatshepsut @ May 16 2010, 01:01 PM) Seems like this is a common issue. Some G73 owners said they'll mistype a lot when they are fast typing and G73 have a bad space bar response too. Is that true? Wonder how fast do you have to type to get errors. If 50-55wpm should be ok kua lolz. Mine is 80-85wpm. QUOTE(julchin_09 @ May 16 2010, 01:03 PM) You know it when you get a GAMING RIG its hardly gonna be used for something else, unless of course you bought it knowing it will be your work and play station... I didn't know A1 and A2 cheaper than the X ones.... All because of stock. Maybe its just a matter of time, and we'll see more and more here.... |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ May 16 2010, 02:37 PM) Just for the sake of argument / debating if you want to put it nicely It's like you hardly adjust you radio volume . . but by the time you want to adjust it . . it doesn't do its job well, eg: being too loud or too soft with no in between |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ May 16 2010, 05:39 PM) Does yours function to its extreme that you mistype easily? Cos from the analogy you hinted, its seems that yours is definetly not in between like how I'd like to think.... If I were to type fast, around 80-85wpm, it does screwed up a sentence pretty badly. And the spacebar is squeaky as well lol. . . but I'll live with it Sidenote: Am gonna install Dirt 2 and Grid on the G73JH soon |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ May 16 2010, 06:10 PM) Ok. Cos your experience is gonna influence a lot of would be buyers. I have a friend here who wants to get one. He's got long fingers, do you think its sutiable? I would think long fingers are an advantage cos i have short fingers lol. And the chiclet keyboard really depends on how you type. I have problems when I type with my palms resting on the laptop. If one were to type like how they type on the old typewriters..then I guess they won't have any problems heh. Ziddy from NBR swears by the chiclet keyboard on his G73JH and puts the blame squarely on sissy typers like me lolz. |

QUOTE(corallinkz @ May 19 2010, 02:24 PM) That depends really. Some are saying the high 50s - low 60s (celcius) of idle temps on the G73JH are not good. For me, its the best I've had so far because my laptop does not "burn" my hands while I am using it . . unlike my previous experience with Acer and HP. What more, this is a gaming laptop and not the previous 2 lol. So I am very satisfied with the cooling system of my G73JH |

QUOTE(corallinkz @ May 19 2010, 10:32 PM) im doing 2 orders now. which is mine, for A1 and another order for A2 from forumer namrif, this guy has already paid me deposits. and his order now being doing. my laptop has been shipped. Now that is what I call a deal right there i quote his price A2 for Rm5100. at least for now, if there's major stocks shortage or currency exchange too votile, i'll review back the price. If you ain't getting deals like the above, then I do not see a reason why anyone else who wants to get this laptop not order from a US reseller themselves . . rather than paying a few hundred more and get someone else to do something you can easily do yourself. What more, some might even sell you an inferior model but expects you to pay more than an A1 or A2 lol. This post has been edited by tek: May 20 2010, 11:41 AM |

What does it have to do with me being the first here to get it lolz.
Maybe you can try with reading properly before lambasting me On Amazon . . yea I wonder why the resellers still have a list of pre-orders since Amazon have stock. Maybe . . . just maybe . . and this is all my personal opinion . . . prospective customers nowadays does their research on prices of the product they want to buy and actually would rather wait it out with a reputable reseller than buy something similar for a few hundred bucks more. It is even worse when you're paying more for an inferior product lol. |

QUOTE(naim910 @ May 20 2010, 04:28 PM) why website mucro cant be open.....almost i month i order and pay g73jh... but they still do not have stock.... are they cheating me Did you check the stated estimated delivery date when you first ordered? Did you contact any sales rep from MA before ordering? Did anyone from MA sent you a confirmation that your funds have been received after you place your order? Have you contacted anyone from MA to check on your status? If you have read through this thread, I am surprised that you went ahead and ordered from MA. Their customer service has been really "top notch!" . Do note the " .. " (it's sarcasm for those still in the dark) |

QUOTE(naim910 @ May 21 2010, 01:14 PM) waktu i order and pay... they say 1 or 2 month... after 2 week i pay... they say no stock.... and take a a long time maybe 3 or 4 month.... can i get my money back... and order another seller..... yup mucro.asia at sg OMG...I thought their customer service was the dumps . . but this is just too much! I don't understand why anyone should ever want to give this company any business from now onwards. Not responding to prospective customer is bad enough, but to renege on delivery time . . what more by 2-3 months is just naim . . get your money back and order from US resellers or pm corallinkz . . he is giving a good deal at the moment (however, since they have your money now, I have a feeling you're gonna have a terrible time with them in trying to get back that cash. Good Luck) Hope this is a lesson to all. If you don't wanna get burned by this horrible company . . steer clear. |

QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ May 21 2010, 03:55 PM) In my case, Ken Lee from GenTechPC did not call me to verify. After I have successfully do the transaction, Ken Lee automatically made an order for me. Yea, my order is confirmed already. I even can track the location of my laptop too. As for the customs matters, you have to ask Tek. There is nothing to ask. I have wrote everything down heh. The customs form is just RM18. Another of their "brilliant" idea to get some duit kopi from us. Granted, the customs officer I dealt with that day was pretty nice. I just had to purchase the form, let them chop a few times . . and I am out of the complex. The officer didn't even wanted me to open the box to inspect if i were actually ordering a laptop or semtex or C4 |

QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ May 21 2010, 04:20 PM) Asus after sales service may not as good as Dell but I personally believe that Asus built quality is above average and of course seldom got hardware problems. Hehehehe ... Oh yea, I'm liking so much the global warranty offered by them which is remarkable. Yeap, 2-Years Global Warranty was one of the deal clinchers for me as well |

QUOTE(wyefueng @ May 23 2010, 08:27 PM) should i get the 'No Dead Pixel Warranty' I think ASUS has a 30 day no pixel warranty unlike Some other brands heh. Unless you want to warranty it for longer and have lost of dough in your bank . . then I see no reason in purchasing that. However, don't take my word for it . . its been a month or two since i researched about the laptop heh...go do your homework still waiting for KenL for the reply... (but i am not permitted to pm in the nbr forum) So i email him. thanks for the help guys! |
