QUOTE(hatshepsut @ May 7 2010, 07:21 PM) I've ordered an A1. I've customised my laptop a bit, upgrade one of my hard drive to 160GB SSD and wireless card. If its a standard A1 is USD1645. Shipping fee is USD175. They have the 3% cash discount as well. Powernotebooks currently has all the model in stock. So you can check them out. Unfortunately they only accept wire transfer for international order. The estimated arrival date for your A1?

Chill dude From what hatshepsut has said, the US resellers aren't like the one from our neighbouring country . . so I am sure they will reply you in due time

Yeah I've been following the threads in notebookreview since I decided to buy this laptop. So I knew that one of the sales advisor Donald has quite a good reputation there. So I email to him before I put the order, you know, just to be sure of everything. And he replied pretty quick, normally would give me response in 1-2 days. I consider that to be quick. I can just give you his email: Donald@PowerNotebooks.com. I'm sure he'll be happy to asnwer all your questions. Good Luck! Added on May 7, 2010, 10:23 pmBTW Tek, how's your laptop going? still working fine? This post has been edited by hatshepsut: May 7 2010, 10:23 PM

I have PM paladin44 at NBR and he has replied me that they do not ship A2 internationally. What a letdown.

QUOTE(coolman91 @ May 8 2010, 05:46 AM) thanks bro ...... should i order with xotic pc or mucro asia ?? For the time being, I have two options, that is, (i) GenTechPC as I'm quite familiar with KenLee (ii) Provantage as I personally believe that they offer better price for A2. Actually, XoticPC offers better customer service IMHO. Thus, I would rather choose them if you compared them with Mucro Asia. However, bear in mind that XoticPC has a very long queue list for Asus G73. This post has been edited by Jeffrey1987: May 8 2010, 06:35 AM

QUOTE(coolman91 @ May 8 2010, 06:57 AM) for GenTechPC do they have courier service to malaysia ?? Yea, they do ship internationally including Malaysia. They have assigned 2 shipping companies for their international transactions, that is, (i) USPS = 149 USD (ii) UPS worldwide = 219 USD (I'm not sure though) According to KenLee, he recommends me to just use USPS as they will not charge any extra shipping fee unlike UPS which usually will charge you extra for shipping the product to your doorstep.

QUOTE(hatshepsut @ May 7 2010, 12:05 PM) Yeah sure! but I actually asked for a specific ship date since I'm only coming back in June. So probably can only give you an update in early or mid June. and yeah XoticPC is taking too long where as powernotebooks has all the models in stock. Probably will get yours in less than 2 weeks time! + the sales advisor Donald was very helpful and I always get fast response. So would recommend him if you are ordering from them Aaah nice, so tempting now since theres a reseller who has stock in place! BTW, you guys can refer to this site for their reviews! Don't ask me that sort of question ler . . . scary you know lolz. So far everything has been alright Has been having a great time on LAN with bro with Borderlands . . fun fun fun Haven't installed other games yet as won't have time to play them lolz. Have only installed COD:MW and MW2 but has only opened them and played 1 mission before adjourning to Borderlands I am seeing alot of 1 line questions in this thread. Seriously, if you're gonna make an expensive purchase (at least for me) . . then do take some initiative and go do a research for yourself instead of sitting on your comfy chair and waiting/demanding people to spoonfeed you with information. If I can go through 1700+ forum pages and read countless reviews looking for info . . I don't see why you can't. Yes it may take some time, but at least you will be educated and not rely on people when *touchwood* something goes wrong. * end of Personal rant *

I personally have been researching all the forums since decided to buy this laptop... I'm like a "Forum Addict" LOL since everyday I came home first thing was turn on my lappy and logged on to all the forums. Will only logged off before going to bed. that's why I know that things might can be go wrong... not to try to curse your laptop tek (sorry if I made you feel that way). But seriously, after I've been looking at all those issues that might occur in this laptop but still decided to go ahead. I've already prepared to RMA it at least once.. u know just to let myself be prepared to the worst case scenario... This is just my own way of thinking lar... sounds pretty stupid but I just like this laptop so much that I am willing to take all those risk! Hahaha! LOL dude..I certainly wasn't directing the lower part message at you lolz. Added on May 12, 2010, 2:48 pmUpdates on cooling: I've noticed that the keyboard area gets warm after a substantial period. This made me wonder about the argument of where does the airflow for cooling for the G73JH goes through. The rest of the laptop remains cool even after a few hours of gaming and only under the GPU area will it get hot. This post has been edited by tek: May 12 2010, 02:48 PM
