Hi tek, sorry if I'm being rude. But would like to know have you had any problems with your new G73JH? Since I've actually ordered it from XoticPC (7-8 weeks waiting) and I've seen lots of complaints about defective GPU or screen. Am thinking if i should just cancel my order if it would have a high chance of getting a defective item. Do you have any problem of this? Appreciated much if you could let me know.

Yes 7-8 weeks of waiting. That's what the sales advisor told me yesterday. but I just ordered it on 25th April

Thanks would love you to post some updates if possible when you have chance to really work on this beast I'm on the same situation as you, the price/spec ratio is so good that i know I'll regret if I din try to get one and settle for the 2nd best.. Did your laptop get stopped by customs? I thought there's no import duties or custom tax in Malaysia just ordered my A1 from powernotebooks (cancelled the pre-order with Xotic)... I have no idea how to clear the customs...

Oh oh OK... but if my laptop is stopped by customs, will they send a letter or call to let me know? how long does it take for you from "deliver from US - Customs cleared - Safely arrive your home"? Thanks~

Yeah sure! but I actually asked for a specific ship date since I'm only coming back in June. So probably can only give you an update in early or mid June.

and yeah XoticPC is taking too long where as powernotebooks has all the models in stock. Probably will get yours in less than 2 weeks time! + the sales advisor Donald was very helpful and I always get fast response. So would recommend him if you are ordering from them

I just select USPS Worldwide, they have UPS Worldwide as well, which cost double the price as USPS i think. I paid $175 for USPS.

I've ordered an A1. I've customised my laptop a bit, upgrade one of my hard drive to 160GB SSD and wireless card. If its a standard A1 is USD1645. Shipping fee is USD175. They have the 3% cash discount as well.

Powernotebooks currently has all the model in stock. So you can check them out. Unfortunately they only accept wire transfer for international order.

Yeah I've been following the threads in notebookreview since I decided to buy this laptop. So I knew that one of the sales advisor Donald has quite a good reputation there. So I email to him before I put the order, you know, just to be sure of everything. And he replied pretty quick, normally would give me response in 1-2 days. I consider that to be quick. Sorry if I've made you feel uncomfortable.. I personally have been researching all the forums since decided to buy this laptop... I'm like a "Forum Addict" LOL since everyday I came home first thing was turn on my lappy and logged on to all the forums. Will only logged off before going to bed. that's why I know that things might can be go wrong... not to try to curse your laptop tek (sorry if I made you feel that way).

But seriously, after I've been looking at all those issues that might occur in this laptop but still decided to go ahead. I've already prepared to RMA it at least once.. u know just to let myself be prepared to the worst case scenario... This is just my own way of thinking lar... sounds pretty stupid but I just like this laptop so much that I am willing to take all those risk! Hahaha!

Yes I ordered A1 from Powernotebooks and received a good customer service from them

Ordered it when they have some in stock. So no wait But I request for specific date to be shipped. So will receive mine in early June
