I like to state my name as one proud owner of a G73JH-A1, and discuss about performance of this machine, it's problems and solutions etc. Oh yea, i managed to solve the famous GSOD problem already (using latest catalyst 10.7 and new vbios), and running very cool after reapplying tim (ICD7). Just Flashed to Bios v211 without any problems. WARNING! Fans are significantly louder than before! I couldn't hear my fans before but now I can actually hear them spinning. To early to report thermal readings just yet 

No they won't but he declares it as PC repair and charges at USD 300  It is more relivable if it was a repaired/refurbished work

It ran for about 1 minute into the game, then blank screen...huhuhuhu

So far all high end games runs on my rig without any problems except when I update to the latest catalyst 10.7. I've just installed catalyst 10.7a but I haven't tested it yet. I only had 3 GSOD on 10.7 but that was running stock clocks at 700/1000. If I use AMDGPU tool to overclock to 705/1100 the GSOD will not happen. Please do note 10.7/10.7a increases idle temps by about 5~10 degrees. I used to idle at 55~60c now I'm idling at 60~66c

true, but since I'm used to have 3 usb ports, so it is not really a problem with me..hehehe...but come to think of it, my previous laptop have firewire ports...but maybe it's not widely used, so Asus did not include it in this model...maybe.. i think...

I haven't got to that one yet but everything I install goes to the default deskstop resolution of 1920X1080. Check your CCC settings or it could be the stock drivers from Asus but even that I remembered the first game I installed on my laptop was at 1080. It was C&C 3
