I only saw somebody's comment in youtube about g53 pricing around 1250 euro$. But i'm not sure if i could trust them. August is next month so... we'll might as well wait for the surprise from Asus.
Check Asus Taiwan has no update on it yet.
OIC. However, the price of N73JQ is quoted around 1355 USD. So, is it possible that G53 will be cheaper than that? Anyway, wait and see how Asus will set the price. Hopefully, it will be another great gaming machine from them again.

ahh its the weekend !! time for me to have fun with my precious. btw do you guys feel that it is super fast in booting up? i dont really feel tat it is THAT fast.. but of course im already spoiled with SSD laptop (given by company for work purposes) so the improvement in this isnt that much great i'll say. i'll have to test it out this weekend with hardcore games after removing the bloatware and customizing it to my needs.
PS: i havent enable the CMSS-3D yet. is this important? coz i read it has something to do with steam.
For the boot up speed, I personally think that it does not make that much different compared to my older notebook. Unless I get a SSD for myself.
can somebody quote me the exactly price(tax/post/overall) in Ringgit malaysia for A2 version i buy it from ken?? i want to prepare my budget to buy this baby, thnx very much for your kind...
was actually planning to buy sager..but then one of my fren poison me to get this..since it's almost the same weight as this xD..probably wil get the g73 ..where did u guys buy from?
1. Run the ATI Catalyst installer and use it to uninstall your current drivers. Make sure you do a custom un-install and select everything.
2. Reboot and enter safemode. Run Driver Sweeper, select ATI then analyze. If any ATI drivers is listed, run clean.
3.) Run CCleaner and do a registry scan. Remove any broken registry links. Do a registry backup just to be safe and run CCleaner several times until there are no more broken links. Reboot your laptop and start windows normally.
4.) Your screen should look really shitty now on low resolution after rebooting. Log into windows and run the install. Install the drivers as per usual and reboot. After rebooting check your driver version and you should have a clean install of the 10.7 catalyst drivers
Great tutorial dude . . . plan to do it after all my HELL exams pass . . .
Actually peeps from Asus did comment bout this, their answer is that their warranty for their own local unit is better so called vip service. My unit got worldwide international warranty. And last I heard it's at Ipoh now. I am still tempted in getting back the G73JH but since the M15X is serving me well I am spendin most of my time tweaking my desktop. Been bz with work till no time to check on u guys, coz of sc 2 I bzbody check on lyn.
Hello there . . . long time didn't saw your post since you sold your G73Jh. How are you doing? Any new gadgets?
Hello guys, I just put myself in a difficult situation here as my newly bought cleaning compound - CyberClean was stuck inside the speaker grill when I tried to clean it up. Darn . . .
Is that some gel like compound? Sorry to see that. The only way I can think of removing that is to disassemble the unit and try to clean the speaker section. You need the proper tools, the PDF version of the G73JH disassembly guide, the video below and heck a lot of guts to attempt thisÂ
Use the PDF to give you an overview on what to expect but do not follow it as the guide does not show you all the information and you might break some clips along the way. The video from BTO Tech is much better and guides you properly to disassemble your unit. I would use both resources if I were to attempt to disassemble my unit.
I lost the link to the PDF file but you can view it here:
PM me if you want the offline PDF file and I will mail it to youÂ
Yea, it is the gel like compound. For the time being, I do not plan to disassemble it as I personally think that it's kinda difficult especially me who is stubborn.

Hello everyone, i plan to buy ROG G73JH-A2 from GenTech Computers but sadly they don't have any stock of that laptop at this moment. I don't know how long to wait. Another way to get this machine fast is customize the A1 into 'no blue ray' and it save me $96. Is it ok to let GenTech technician to 'operate' the machine by exchange the blue ray drive with DVD DL Drive or I place the pre-order A2 first and wait?
It sounds OK for me. Just like Viperion has said at the previous posts, you do not have to worry so much as IMHO all the technicians at GenTechPC are pro enough for this kind of task. Just make sure that you order it from Ken Lee, he will sort it out for you definitely. All the best. Just PM us if you have any Q.
