QUOTE(Andiboi @ Feb 23 2010, 11:26 PM) I got confirm with xoticpc and noticed that they don't accept Credit Card. It's really bad news to me and also my own fault for not reading their FAQ section. I think it's time for me to say bye bye to this baby. Let's wait it available in Malaysia and see how's it go. I'll stick with my humble desktop and a pure working notebook for time being. you can per-order from Putochip123 too right?

QUOTE(astria @ Mar 7 2010, 03:07 PM) i read in NBF that this model is suffering from overheating issues... a lot of the owners have sent it for RMA within 1 week of receiving it... due to GPU or CPU?

i really thought it was solved by ATI 5000 Series and massive-lookin cooling system.
Mr.Moo mentioned that DDR5 run a lot hotter than DDR3 too.

hope so.
but we will see...
if the overheat problem persistent, Dx11 is the main point to choose HD 5000 Series over GTX285.

QUOTE(shanecross @ Mar 19 2010, 11:15 PM) So far its OK. but its best to have a cooler though. The airvents on the rear doesn't really "COOL" down the laptop in a way, esp full load. But it does look "COOL" ask your friend to benchmark it! i pretty sure A LOT of us is eager to know this monster's capability!

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Mar 21 2010, 03:09 PM) Fromw what I saw, the HD5870 Mobility is just a normal HD5770... QUOTE(ineser @ Mar 21 2010, 06:40 PM) Yes, its based on Desktop version of 5770 instead of the real 5870 http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobility-...70.23073.0.htmlyes it is. it just not possible if Mobility ATi HD5870 can perform as good as ATi HD5870 desktop variant. and can reach HD5770 is already good enough

QUOTE(astria @ Mar 25 2010, 08:14 PM) i wouldn't be surprised if it does, judging from history... by rit for ATi the spec of the desktop version and mobile version should be similar... but HD500 doesn't seem to be the case... man, imagine yourself gaming on HD5850/5870 on 17"...

QUOTE(tek @ Apr 28 2010, 07:41 AM) Asus has standard 2 Year Global Warranty. Another winning point But . . we don't get the 1 Year Accidental Damage Warranty. This is dissapointing seeing how Asus is an Asian company . . but they just give those to the Amedikans Stay away from me Mr.Docter! hehe. hye! update us with all those benchmarking result with temp too! wanna know how good is the cooling system!
