QUOTE(O-haiyo)
True what you said. But he was playing regularly last few match which should give him a momentum, unless he needs more games, which quite frankly I am tired with. In Milan, it's not about using his pace I am frustrasted about, but more to where he hold the ball and bring it to the side, then could not go nowhere and dispossed. He should have pass the ball quickier if he is blocked.

On Rooney, I was critical about him too but I believed that he will prove me wrong, which he did.

No, there is no negativity towards him at all. Just that really frustrated watching him played that way that night. All said and done, I hope he really takes this season as a benchmark because I am dying to see another flying winger in our team. Manchester United always have fantastic wingers. For me, it's our trademark. smile.gif
I was getting tired with him too. But in the last month or so ever since his revival, I began to trust him again. But in just one and a half matches, that has gone in you and some other which is ridiculous. Players can't have bad games now? It wasn't a good performance by him that night to be fair and people have the right to be disappointed with that but people should factor in the other things too. We were up against AC Milan side in their own back yard and was put on the backfoot most of the game by them. The whole side played poorly, yet he's the one who is getting abused left right and centre. And after his recent exploits, Milan probably had work out ways to counter him.
*
No, I am not saying players can't have a bad game. But if you really watch him play in Milan and the past, you know that he did the same thing over and again, which really get on my nerves.

If he played that badly in consecutive matches, your point stands. But he did it against a Milan side who defended really well at the start and our whole side struggle to make anything in the game until late in the first half. He wasn't the only one playing bad that night in the period he was on. Everyone else played just as bad. Not much space to work in, not that much support and only had Rooney to aim for. His crosses wasn't great, but even most of Valencia's crosses doesn't trouble defences.

Exactly Wan.

My points earlier, fans these days do not possess the capacity to be patience and expects everyone to perform every single match.

Yes. I did said everyone played badly but they settled down. Nani did not. Valencia crosses maybe not be that great but but he gave more penetration which made Milan more cautious in their attack. Nani, again did not.

Again, I am not bashing Nani but just want to have a healthy discussion about his performance, which is really worrying. I will be happy to be proved wrong by him. smile.gif

If you are referring to me, I got no qualm with it. As a supporter, we want the best for our club, maybe in a different way. But my point with Nani is, he's given enough time. Having said that, I am not calling his head, but I would like him perform better, or play someone else. His exaggeration at times can be really frustrating. Look at Fletcher. He does not have the technic or pace like Nani, but he played it simple when he needs to. And Rafael? First time playing in San Siro against Ronaldinho. IMHO, he too settled down after a nervous start. High hope for this kid.

Am I the only one who is suprised that fergie had accepted the decisions of the referees gracefully for the past 2 games?

Initially I was worrying that he will be blasting the ref all over the media for those soft red cards like what he normally does and end up getting fined or suspended. Guess I was wrong. haha

Funny should you mentioned Fletcher. I do remember that most of us, including me were calling for his head years ago(barring Wan). Can't we just sit back and relax? Let SAF carry out the verdict on Nani.

You mentioned that Nani is given enough time. Fletcher was given way A LOT of time than Nani currently has. We turn blind on Fletcher for being bred from our Academy and costs us barely nothing. It's no secret that Nani costs us almost 20m. And Nani getting all the abuses. I see that it's like a pattern here. Berbatov is getting the same treatment as Nani does. This is due to their PRICE TAG. Are we the kind of fans that are hypocritical?

I don't know about you guys but I have learned my lesson with Fletcher. Never again, I am going to be hypercritical on players unless SAF says so. Yes, the old man isn't always right but HE'S THE MAN. He knows his stuff. He's not being touted as the best United and possibly EPL and world manager for nothing.

Times like these I think that we are too spoiled by glorious moments that lead to plastic fans. I am not judging anyone. For me it is simple, I love United. Be it the club going down to division 2, I will still support it. Isn't love about trust, care and etc? I love the club, so I trust the man at the helm which is SAF and hate the ones are trying to bring down the club i.e. Glazers.

Maybe the term "Singing only when we're winning" reflects some of the fans?

A bit though. I thought that he might go mental after Villa's match. And Milan as well. Carrick being red carded and all. Really surprising.

every player is different in their own way. And of course there are a lot of winger, and i dont think u can compare a winger and a central midfielder. Nani is from portugal, and like Ronaldo, he have a lot of tricks in his sleeves, so i dont blame him trying all those tricks. If u are a central midfielder, i dont think u need any pace or skills, ur job is to receive the ball, pass or shoot.

Just when he is prepared to blast the referees, he thought for a while. "if i blast them, its not like any decision can be changed, plus later kena all those embarasement of sending some sh*t letters of apology..Haix... better not la..."

Nani should have been kicked out when the infamous comment on SAF was made but surprisingly SAF didn't do so. SAF must have seen something in this kid and trying to develop it. we'll never know. most players will be out looking for club already but not nani. why? SAF knows.

with nani small figures it will be hard when facing stronger defender...unlike ronaldo and valencia......

during EPL nani is a bit more aggresive.....lots of attacking...running through defenders...this is likely because he is already ca adapt to the league.....but during milan he is a bit 'shy'......

I mentioned before. It's not about SAF or whoever else. It's about Nani and Nani only. It's about his performance. I have never doubt Fergie. Not sure why you bring up the subject on him. Verdict on Nani? Like I said, I am not calling his head.

On Fletcher, he did take his time but I am sure you noticed that his early seasons were our transition period. Arrival of Carrick and Hargreaves does not make it easy for him. But he has been a steady player ever since. Keeps improving. Nani? I am still waiting. After a promising debut season, he has been going downhill instead.

Love United? Where have I heard it? But then again, my post touches nothing on loving our club. Who am I to argue that you're just a glory hunter or not? Same goes to you. Singing when we're winning? Does not apply here. We did win in Milan and I'm still being critical? I have been supporting Manchester United more than 13 years now, so if you think I'm too spoilt by glorious moment or plastic fans ot whatever it is, it's your call. Again, this discussion is only about Nani. There's nothing to do with Fergie or loving the club. Fergie's the man and has always been the man, and loving the club doesn't mean that you can't be critical of the players.

I think we should stop here. smile.gif
