QUOTE(Wan @ Feb 19 2010, 12:55 AM)
If he played that badly in consecutive matches, your point stands. But he did it against a Milan side who defended really well at the start and our whole side struggle to make anything in the game until late in the first half. He wasn't the only one playing bad that night in the period he was on. Everyone else played just as bad. Not much space to work in, not that much support and only had Rooney to aim for. His crosses wasn't great, but even most of Valencia's crosses doesn't trouble defences.

Exactly Wan.

My points earlier, fans these days do not possess the capacity to be patience and expects everyone to perform every single match.

Funny should you mentioned Fletcher. I do remember that most of us, including me were calling for his head years ago(barring Wan). Can't we just sit back and relax? Let SAF carry out the verdict on Nani.

You mentioned that Nani is given enough time. Fletcher was given way A LOT of time than Nani currently has. We turn blind on Fletcher for being bred from our Academy and costs us barely nothing. It's no secret that Nani costs us almost 20m. And Nani getting all the abuses. I see that it's like a pattern here. Berbatov is getting the same treatment as Nani does. This is due to their PRICE TAG. Are we the kind of fans that are hypocritical?

I don't know about you guys but I have learned my lesson with Fletcher. Never again, I am going to be hypercritical on players unless SAF says so. Yes, the old man isn't always right but HE'S THE MAN. He knows his stuff. He's not being touted as the best United and possibly EPL and world manager for nothing.

Times like these I think that we are too spoiled by glorious moments that lead to plastic fans. I am not judging anyone. For me it is simple, I love United. Be it the club going down to division 2, I will still support it. Isn't love about trust, care and etc? I love the club, so I trust the man at the helm which is SAF and hate the ones are trying to bring down the club i.e. Glazers.

Maybe the term "Singing only when we're winning" reflects some of the fans?

QUOTE(suxxor @ Feb 19 2010, 02:45 AM)
Am I the only one who is suprised that fergie had accepted the decisions of the referees gracefully for the past 2 games?

Initially I was worrying that he will be blasting the ref all over the media for those soft red cards like what he normally does and end up getting fined or suspended. Guess I was wrong. haha
*
A bit though. I thought that he might go mental after Villa's match. And Milan as well. Carrick being red carded and all. Really surprising.

I don't see Rafael will start this game..
Our right flank will be raped..
And we had to think of Arteta and Landon Donovan as well

a defensive 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 suits this match..
I can't see we field a attacking lineup..

Set pieces/lost of possession would be our main fear in this game
*
Same thoughts. I can see that we are attacking them through counter attacks.

Since Nani is out, we might see Park (wub.gif) being play out on the left and Valencia on the opposite side.

If it's 4-5-1, Carrick, Ando and Fletcher for me. Scholes will be rested for either West Ham or Carling Cup Finals.

If it's 4-4-2, Carrick and Fletcher. Ando will feature some part later in the game. Berbatov to partner Rooney up front.

Credits to Everton. Played very well. Our team got BIG headed after winning Milan at San Siro.

Had Rooney scored with his chance earlier, the results would be very different.

We looked like we didn't sleep at all after the game at San Siro. Just bad all round. Touches off, passing off, walking pace.

Can't use that excuse la Wan. Everton played Sporting on the same day we played Milan. And they won 2-1. I know they played at their own turf but they also have that extra match.

Our team was so piss poor.

not a mistake, just dont have another option..need to rest rafael as his fitness still developing esp. 2-3 games in a week..
just imagine if oshea is available?he will play as CB and brown as RB..

we had VIDIC on the bench. why didn't we play him? at least .. the aerial threats are nullified. i reckon that evans is showing his fatigue already.

the team selection and subs are a bit mind boggling.
