Went to TT with KKinabalu alpharians brothers last nite.
Thanks to all the KK alpharian brothers at TT who shared their flash knowledge with me.

Some photos taken while learning how to use the flash (basic flash 101)...

Photo #1 - Lesson 1 - learning about slow sync flash... (obviously the background subject ie bro shukrie, still not well-exposed )

For a noob like myself, I find it useful as a companion to the user manual. I found some things that are very useful and interesting reading and in full color

Another book/magazine which I find interesting & useful is the Hardware Magazine Publication (HWM ... hardwaremag.com) - "DSLR Photography with the SONY A100". (Thank you bro Rauf for recommending me the magazine). It is a comprehensive techniques, tips & examples shown in full color too (which is very beautiful) compared to the user manual b&w

IIANM, in Malaysia, the A230 is being sold together with SAL1855 kit lens. No body only sale.

hmm... all see "jumping".
What if I interprete as "falling" ?

Shot these photos this afternoon (Mar 14, 2010) by the seafront, across the road from Hyatt Hotel, Kota Kinabalu CBD

Photo #1:
Saw this white crane perched on a wooden pole.


Photo #2:
A 2nd white crane swooped close by, scourng for food.


Photo #3:
The 2nd white crane skimmed the sea surface to pick up floating food.


Photo #4:
All this while, the 1st white crane stood, unperturbed.


Photo #5:
Until its time came, the 1st white crane took off from the wooden pole to swoop for a "mistakenly thought" was a food... found out it was not... hence did a U-turn in mid air and flew back.


Photo #6:
Returning to its' pole empty handed or should I say, empty beak-ed ?


Photo #7:
Landed safely back to its "observation post" and thus the waiting continues...
