for A550(and A300series), seriously, i find it a little overrate and pricey for the ori grip for 1 dail and 2 button, and a shutter release... just buy the 3rd party ones if u think u prefer to hold it portrait orientation. i myself felt comfy without it thou

plus ur choice of background prolly could be improved no..since this shot is completely under ur control...how come got speaker thingy there.. hahaha :_

if u don mind..i'll comment a lil bit more...other than your subject..try to look around the frame..not only object..what about shadows?placing/avoiding shadows should be take note also..and since your model is black..try not keep the background too dark too..unless u able to light it up nicely while keep the low key background dark.

maybe could do something on the..whats that call ah??the transparent support thingy..

Also, try to watch your WB. Pics seem a little too warm for my taste.

The second pic, I would have shot it from another angle. Maybe I would stand beside the huge spotlight and shot it from there. The first thing that caught my eye was the spotlight in the pic meaning it was kinda of a big distraction. Also having such a big bright spot in your frame is bound to cause your metering to go haywire.

I also am kinda vague on what you are trying to show in the third pic. The bulletin board? I can't seem to read any of them from this view. The 2 persons on the left? They seem to be engaged in a conversation and one of them has his back towards the cam. The hand jutting out from outside the frame with the paper bag is a real distraction. Your selective coloring has emphasized this distraction even more.

The fourth pic could have used a fill flash fired directly.
