Getting AC Ryan Mini later, any recommendation where to get is cheap? Digital mall or Low yat? I'm an ex WDTV owner, not live. I'm not satisfy with my WDTV performance actually when playing movies like 2012 and Transformers ROTF running in full HD with subtitles ON. Those too much of movements action scene will lags. Without subtitle is smooth.

But the price for this is not cheap i guess. Hmm...recording function is not a requirement for me as well. Unless i really need to record movies from 8TV or NTV7 la.... laugh.gif Thanks for the info guys!

Added on February 22, 2010, 4:46 pmAny playonhd owners here experience any problem with DTS-HD/Dolby True HD passthrough? Can it really be done or I still need to wait for next firmware? Since the new batch supports DTS downmix.

Got the mini unit today from digital mall. Compared to the WDTV non live version, I can say I'm satisfied with the performance of this unit. Especially when I seek or fwd, it is so smooth. WDTV really lag on this. There is a pros n cons. Too bad this unit doesn't support thumbnail for each movie folder and have to browse by each folder where WDTV has this feature. So I think even if my dad wanna watch the movies also having hard time to figure out how to find a movie to watch.

Overall, is worth the money to get this! happy owner here laugh.gif

I have been streaming 720p and 1080p contents over homeplugs (200mbps version) via UPnP and all is well.

I've been streaming over 100mbps lan network from my PC with 1080p, no lag.

ic something like streaming from pc to ps3?

thanks bro.

Correct me if im wrong, I actually browse thru the network and open that file from my PC's location. Whereby PC stream to ps3 it need to use Media streaming software like PS3 media server. The 1st method, encoding is done from the POHD itself, whereby the 2nd method encoding is done from the PC and pass the signal to PS3. I've tested both before, PC stream to PS3 with 1080p full hd with subtitle ON will lag unless u use a powerful PC or more than 100mbps Lan speed, not wifi. But for POHD, is different.

for bluray rip 1080p yes if your lcd tv support, i've experience laggin issue with 1080i with hdtv ripped with 24p when i switch off the movie is smooth. Also depending on your file and your TV support.
