i need some advice .. before i jump into decision of getting a unit of A.C.Ryan PlayON

does the PlayOn runs hot with the internal hdd ?
does it makes any difference in performance 5400 / 7200 rpm sata hdd ? faster loading time ?

if i choice for PlayOn! Mini using external 3.5" drives, will it lag playing a 1080p mkv file ?

just got a unit of Playon!HD mini @ lyp.

try several 1080p mkv file, it plays fairly well with no lag or lip sync problem n whatsoever.
i can't tell any difference from picture quality point of view playing directly from BD and 1080p mkv file.

thumbs up for the recommendation no reason to keep bd anymore
