Ah re-sync, my bad.
My mistake, didn't read properly. Just attach the USB cable and reconnect the controller to your PS3 then. |

QUOTE(shadowblack @ May 23 2010, 11:33 PM) Because some people say that put ps3 in front of woofer will damage your ps3.Thats why I wanna know if tv speaker included or not Yea.If your woofer is from the 90's where there are no magnetic shielding, it'll lead your PS3 to magnetic corruption. Otherwise... lol, it doesn't matter. How big are your woofers anyway in the first place? |

They're all true.
However, none of them applies (except for the DVD and Blu-Ray region issue). So don't worry. And just buy the PS3 if you want to. |

Taking out the disc is rather optional.
But I suggest that you do take it out either ways. The disc trapped in the disc bay can actually warp (cases of this happening is a hundreth thousand in 1, but its happen before) due to the heat. So ask yourself if you're really so lazy to eject the disc and re-insert everytime you wanna play or stop playing. If you are... well, okay no prob. |

QUOTE(ramz @ May 25 2010, 04:18 PM) by design the disc surface has no contact. its all laser. so even if u leave the disc in, it remains no contact. no contact means no scratch. btw, i leave my disc in 90% of d time. no scratch oso. maybe his disc drive is faulty that's why got scratch. but i think he is lying. coz if that's d case u can't play. FYI, the lens in the Blu-ray drive of the PS3 is a moving part. It moves closer to the disc when heavy textures (or something else in relation like playing a cutscene while loading a level) are loaded off the disc. That, can possibly scratch your disc if the lens moves out of alignment. Although this issue is far, far less than it was ever was before on the PS2 days, it still happens. Hence the reason why I said in the previous page or 2 to TAKE OUT your disc when you stop playing. If you don't want... no problem, hope for the best but if anything goes wrong don't come crying when your disc fails to read the next time. |

QUOTE(the_goonerz @ Jun 5 2010, 02:19 AM) need help for my problem. Sound like a dead ethernet port.just on midnite today my ps3 won't detect the damn ethernet cable. no light appear next to the cable socket. tried change with other cable but didn't work as well. the router & cable absolutely fine as already tested on pc. ps3 working fine except the internet connection. is ethernet hardware totally fried? any other solution aside sending it to sony for repair? anyone know how much it cost? my ps3 is no more under warranty. really need advise for this. thanks.. Try wi-fi to determine if the network adapter is dead or not first though. |

Actually, and technically... HDMI is designed for hot-plugging.
But the fact that many electrical equipments doesn't do a good job of re-handshaking the HDCP protocol, that's where the problem occurs. That's where the danger comes in. Just a small note. |

QUOTE(wah chai @ Jun 13 2010, 08:33 PM) hi all,i plan to buy ps3.i have a question on my mind.hope anyone can help recommend me.example i play/save not more than 10 games data in ps3, i think 40gb suitable for me ? Why would you buy a 40GB when a 120GB PS3 slim is at a lower price of what 40GB was before?Furthermore, I doubt you'll ever find a 40GB PS3 for new anymore now a days. Do more research. |

QUOTE(jazzabel29 @ Jun 24 2010, 05:51 AM) Hi..I just want to share my ps3 graphic problem..now I'm using ps3 with toshiba zv600 full hd lcd tv..the problem that I found is the screen resolution change when I start to play any games..It's okay when I watch blu-ray..I try to change everything including change the resolution to custom but still can't solve the problem..the resolution was 1080p at the XMB menu, but when I start the game,the resolution seems change and the graphic was not HD at all..for example when I play COD MW2,the graphic and the texture of the building and cars was really bad and it seems blur..and when I look at the rope,the line texture was not smooth and have 'zigzag' effect lol..like we play games with the lower resolution on PC..how can I solve this problem?I try to change the HDMI cable but its still the same..please share with me how to solve this problem if you know..thank you very much. Unfortunately, no way around it.Majority of games on the PS3 aren't even at true 1280x720 resolution even, often times below that. Only a handfull of games are at full 1920x1080 resolution (1080p). There are games which handles upsclaing of 1080p pretty well, but there many that doesn't. So yea... gotta live with it. |

QUOTE(moon* @ Jun 24 2010, 02:32 PM) game such as gow3, deadspace stated 1080p at the back of the cover. Those games support the probabilty to upscale from 720p > 1080p.i have a full hd tv, but the ps3 settings is set to run on all the tv selection. find it weird when the game support 1080p, but when u switch to the game it goes to 720p. if u wanna run it on 1080p, u gotta go settings n untick 1080i n 720p is there a reason for tis??? However, they aren't natively supported (GoW3 is however). This is purposely done by the developers, upscaling to 1080p does take a hit on performance even if most people won't notice it and could introduce certain graphical issues also. Therefore, they still put the option to force 1080p upscale but not natively. For those who wants it, they get it but otherwise no. QUOTE(jazzabel29 @ Jun 24 2010, 03:59 PM) Thanks for the response guys..maybe it just my eyes hehe..but if im not mistaken,the first day when i bought the lcd tv,the games graphic was really nice and clean..this resolution problem happened when my ps3 had a problem to play blu-ray movie and I had to restore all the settings and format the HDD..I change all the settings but still I don't satisfy with the graphic performance..I afraid it was my LCD problem but when I watch b.yond it was okay.. A psychological effect.I take it that this is your first time really dwelving into the HD world. You were taken back by how nice and sharp everything is, but once your eyes settle in... you'll start to see the artifacts. Nothing uncommon. Added on June 24, 2010, 5:52 pm QUOTE(benblitz @ Jun 24 2010, 05:43 PM) Guys, how do I clean my ps3? I've been doing some research and found out that using vacuum is the best method. Have anyone ever done this? QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Jun 24 2010, 05:46 PM) He's talking about internals.@benblitz Best way to clean? Open up and clean. That's the best way and I'm not joking or trying to be an ass. The vacuum won't really do much good really. If your console is still under warranty, you can try using a can of compressed-air. But NEVER EVER blow at the disc drive. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Jun 24 2010, 05:52 PM |

@benedict
If you even read the first page, your question would have been answered. As for the Z5500, you can connect the PS3 to it with an optical cable and just set audio out via optical out under the sound settings. |
