My ps3 slim (xmb page) hang while downloading demo games but the downloading still carry on (can see tere is still hv data receive from my laptop). Can't use controller to shut down n hv to shut down the ps3 manually... anyone encountered this before?

u can reset back the ps3 and try redownload again.

guys...need to ask a question....can i just leave a blu-ray disc inside the PS3 and do other things like play demo or watch movies? will it damage my blu-ray disc?

ok... once i start my ps3 it ask me to format my HD. therefore i format it. but when i update my version tat time when it reach 70++% it say error. den when i wan to delete my log on acc it hang n stop... wats is de PROBLEM!!??!?! help!! HOW TO SOLVE!?!?

you can just leave the disc inside and nope it will not damage the disc

before you decide to switch off the ps3, take the out the disc and put back into the casing.

try hard reset your ps3 and then update your firmware manually using your thumb drive..

hi,

i recently updated my FW to the latest. and then i watched a bluray disc, it was loading for 5 mins then it started to hang.

i tried to reset it, it was hang. i press power button for a few seconds i heard 2 beeps. i press eject no respond. and then the console reset and the disc came out.

I turned it off and didint touch it. Waited to the next day pop in another bluray, same shit happen. i turn it off again, and later tried inserting a game to play, it does not detect the disc anymore.

i get a green and blue light when the disc is in. and i can see the HDD blinking fast.

any idea whats wrong?

hmm try factory reset 1st. not sure how to do it though, refer to manual lol.

My ps3 just died on me this morning, was playing DMC4 when suddenly there a loud POP sound and the ps3 blacked out. I google around and it seems its the psu problem, damm why this is happening now, all the shops are closed. Any sugestion on what should i do? Mine is a 80gb sg set fat version. Still under waranty. Hope to get this fixed before GoW3 out :cry:Not sure its YLOD or not because then i press the on button the light disapear, no blinking what so ever.

1st what bluray movie title is it?

is your ps3 connected to the internet at the time? because some movie title want to access to bd-live features, this will cause temporary hangs.

also what's ur ps3 model btw?
