My ps3 just died on me this morning, was playing DMC4 when suddenly there a loud POP sound and the ps3 blacked out. I google around and it seems its the psu problem, damm why this is happening now, all the shops are closed. Any sugestion on what should i do? Mine is a 80gb sg set fat version. Still under waranty.cry.gif Hope to get this fixed before GoW3 out :cry:Not sure its YLOD or not because then i press the on button the light disapear, no blinking what so ever.

1st what bluray movie title is it?

is your ps3 connected to the internet at the time? because some movie title want to access to bd-live features, this will cause temporary hangs.

also what's ur ps3 model btw?

well ps3 wifi is ON but i was watching movie when it hang not when i just pop disc in, the movie was UNderworld.

sigh bad timing to get spoilt..CNy all shops close.

forgot to mention..i was fast forwarding the disc a few times before it started to hang.

please let me know who is good in repairing lens and whats the price?

google around found out that last option to try is hard reset to default setting by pressing power button 3 beeps and stuff.

but i noticed u can do format and restore factory setting once u login also at the options. so whats the difference?

other thing is tat if i reset will all my songs and export key that i bought for Rockband be lost forever?.. sigh

My nephew accidentally put in the astro smart card in the ps3 disc drive slot...managed to take out but the drive starting to make noise when inserting the disc...scared to touch it so i leave it....what might be the problem...

Ps3 hk set...80gb warranty just over...

if u guys know the prob how much it'll cost to repair it...

having problem dload the latest version of update for ps3 lor...
i already dload via internet but the ps3 cannot detact the harddisc...
any web that i can refer? really boring cannot play online anymore w/o dload latest update...

It will pause your download when you playing online and resume back when you finish playing online.

hi guys.

I've searched all around but only came up to a solution to download demo(s) via PC.. which is using ProxyServer.

Wondering if anyone has any idea of other alternatives to install demo(s) to PS3 via USB drives, etc.. after the .pkg is downloaded from link to PC.

Hey, can u guys enter PSN store? I tried EU, US and asia ACC. It said service is not available in your country/region. Anyone experienced this? My friend oso cannot sign in the PSN store....
