i wanna ask, if the disc got minor scratch, will it still run?

Another question regarding disks. Ok, so I admit I've been pirating PS1 and PS2 games. But now that I have my own cash, I wanna finally pay for original. Just that, if ever my disk gets damaged, can I claim back a new one? It makes no sense that I'm paying RM200 for one game, and if it gets damaged I have to buy another RM200 one.

Upgraded my PS3 hard drive recently. Want to ask how can i store m2ts files from PC to PS3?  So that I can play it on PS3.

Guys... my ps3 hangs once in a while these days... Is this normal?

Hmm im not sure this is the right place to ask.

My ps3 slim is connected to my pc monitor using hdmi > Dvi and it works. Yesterday out of sudden, no settings whatsoever was touch, the display not coming out already. I still can hear the sound and my controller still working (judgin by the sound)

The thing is, when i plug the ps3 into tv using RYB cable, it work properly with display and sound. Now im baffled, because im not sure its my cable faulty, monitor or ps3 hdmi port spoilt. Anyone can provide some advises?

I tried the 5s reset thingy btw, not working :-/

I dont have extra hdmi to dvi cable, and i am planing to get a hdmi monitor soon. So i dont think i will buy the cable just to test this out.

Just looking around see if anyone encountered this before. Will be sending it to Mid Valley SC this Saturday anyway since still under warranty.

Max res is 1440x900. Btw the monitor is working fine with my computer, using the same port.

Anyone can tell the difference between HDMI to DVi cable and HDMI to HDMI?
Does it affect the graphics?

Is it quite posible the hdmi port faulty? Cuz i have been googling around and so far no results.

It hangs while playing Battlefield bad company 2... I heard it's quite common..
But it hangs while adding a friend in XMB today...

about upgrading the hdd...as long as the hdd is 2.5" SATA for notebook it'll fit for sure?

normally 1st gen of bigger than usual hdd always have thicker form (12.5 mm), which is not compatible with ps3 internal hdd slot / cradle, but can be put externally + long sata cable

1st gen 500gb 2.5" sata had 12.5mm thickness

now almost (if not all) 500gb 2.5" is in 9.5mm form, which is compatible with ps3

i believe 640gb 2.5" sata is only available in 12.5mm form for now. i could be wrong though

the best way is checking the datasheet for the physical dimension of an hdd on the manufacturer's website.

if it is in the website, then it is available

but users should beware of old stocks.

i register streamy middle of the month ( Jan' 2010 ), and i get the wireless modem from TM also ...
Pass few month when i online using my laptop & PS3 also no problem, respond quite fast laa ...  ( very smooth when i playing RE5 or MW2 )
no hang no lag nothing problem ...
But start from this few days .... bad dream come !!
i can log in to my PSN account . but when i go to PS store, even have to wait few mins to load a picture also cant ... hard to load !!!
And also cant download DEMO anymore... it hang !!
And also when i playing MW2... i connect 10 times also failed 9 sometime only 1 or 2 times can play only ... )
i notice that my streamyx services become very very slow...
( i still not paying for 2 month bill yet ... wait for salary ... )
do u guy think because of that TM will slow down my services ??
i already ask people in forum...
some of them said even they never pay for 3 month also no problem 1 ... still can jalan ...
some of them said now TM change to HSBB ... so all user line will slow down...
Now my situation is not only my PS3 kena...
even my laptop open FACEBOOK also very slow slow slow...
i try to restart my wireless modem ... still same !!
i try to direct use LAN cable connect with PS3 and Laptop ... same !!

Hello, I am about to buy a PS3. Which one is the correct power supply for PS3 in Malaysia, 110V or 220V? I am currently in Australia, and if I am not mistaken, both country are using the same power output?

I've also read somewhere that PS3 power supply is universal, does that means it does not matter if I buy 110V or 220V?
