[quote=alexscm,Apr 4 2010, 08:34 AM]
but if you look at your meter carefully, there is an allocated space for this warning indicator, at the bottom of the meter right next to the "door opened" indicator. we even also have an allocated space for rear fog lamp indicator at the top right area of the meter. I believe our cars are not fitted with these wiring. the meter panel with the icons are already there to most probably save cost by the manufacturer when making export and local models. if u judge the recent events n news of the upcoming waja replacement models, you should understand why we have added benefits of getting more goodies in our waja than the previous year models. maybe proton has got a commitment to clear these products from their subcon suppliers. after they have ran out of goodies, they will start to 'standardize' again the production lines.... all are just my hypothesis though.. might be a little far fetched. hehe maybe singchaii can help since he's a more technical person from one of the service centres. |

typically, proton will pump in extra air to make u feel ur car very light at handling. it will be a bit bouncy too. follow the correct pressure stated on the door or +/- the pressure that suit your driving style. i pump typically 30 front n back. waja MT here. on stock tyre size.
changing rims n tyres will depend on how much price are the new ones. typically u can get anywhere from rm600 to rm800 for your current ori set of rims. no comment on the voucher from coolworld. |

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ Apr 4 2010, 10:38 PM) trade in rims can get rm600-800? hardly man... if really can get rm600 should be happy d. average they take in about 350-500. sorry la.. i never change my set of rims n ori tyres yet. but like i said, it depends on the tyres and also the type of rims u r buying... higher price, higher trade in lo...Added on April 5, 2010, 8:29 am QUOTE(NightShadow @ Apr 5 2010, 07:55 AM) my mistake. kpa it is. dun worry bro, the slight pressure increase is quite negligible whether u pump in the morning or in the evenings. however, we would recommend pumping when ur tyres are cold. this means no pumping after long distance driving or after touge in the mountains... hehe... hmm i notice something else this morning it says 'pressure of tyre when cold' does that mean i should pump the stated pressure in the morning? QUOTE(botaking123 @ Apr 5 2010, 04:19 PM) wow..brand new car, revved till redline. calculations are correct. that is a good figure. it should come down after the first service. virgin car so the engine also a bit tight too. take good care of her. Sorry, i"ve another question, can anyone pls advise whether below figures giving me good milleage or bad? FYI, my WAJA CPS still NOT done 1st service. (all cost in RM) Fuel Cost $50 Distance travelled 330 km Fuel Amount 27.8 litres Cost of Fuel $1.8 per litre Fuel Economy 8.42 litres per 100 km Mileage Costs 15.1515 ¢ents per km Change gear oil and engine oil during 1k service. if u feel the gear is smooth then u can defer the gear oil change to 5k service (i would recommend change since its only about rm50). Cheers and happy CPS-ing. ps. beware of the mods n poison from other members.... |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Apr 6 2010, 12:14 AM) Some of them didn't notice that the were actually downgrading instead of upgrading (except for 'branding'). no change. stock standard. its white when first started. then gradually becomes yellow. its been like tat since day one. i also surprised coz i tot white.. then later only found out its still the standard yellow light... juz brighter. u were speeding on the straights right... bugger... carry 3 person also can still so fast... salute.. Just notice your headlight is 'whiter' than mine. Did you change anything? |

QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Apr 6 2010, 09:10 AM) huh? wat audiomax? i not doing any maxaudio /audiomax stuff.... i getting confused leh... Added on April 6, 2010, 1:33 pm QUOTE(fazron80 @ Apr 6 2010, 10:42 AM) no lar. I know matrix is hyundai so korean. What I meant was a lot of people thinks japanese cars are an upgrade of their wiras, iswaras sagas etc. That's why they choose vios and so on. But the thing is waja, persona or gen2 nowadays are quite decent compared to entry level japanese cars. They thought wajas gen2 and all newer protons are the same as their previous wiras. can't blame them actually. like sphiroth n others said, some had awful experience with P1. for me, i had trouble free wira for i own 2 of them (mostly less than 5 yr old) before i got my waja.This post has been edited by jctasoga: Apr 6 2010, 01:33 PM |

QUOTE(mrl @ Apr 6 2010, 02:55 PM) haha... moaning for more..... i'm not gonna give it... yeah, the grip is not so good already... still remember those days when I first get the car... braking hard never got the ABS activated... but nowadays, it seems the ABS is activated almost once a month.... means the rubber grip is so-so already... many black donuts to choose from... hehe...started surveying for new rubbers, but seems to be quite hard to get a good grip rubber with stock size... this poisons me to get 17inch wheel... u still using 60 series tyres for 15"? can upgrade to 55series height ones. better for corner and price for 15"is really the best n economical one. |

QUOTE(mrl @ Apr 6 2010, 04:01 PM) i drive the gen2, so i get 15" 55 series as stock... not 60... the big hype now is the michelin pilot sport 3. seems to be good overall performer in wet n dry. i might go for these tyres in my next tyre change. hehe...so far, only few makers have this 195/55/R15, but most going for comfort with little performance... Potenza is available, but heard the grip is only so-so among performance tires... trying to see other options like Hankook, Maxxis, Falken, and other manufacturers... heard Hankook is good and cheap... how good are they??? |
