Without Key Players
QUOTE
Alex Song, Andrey Arshavin, William Gallas, Manuel Almunia and Eduardo have not made the trip to Portugal. Long-term absentees Robin Van Persie, Kieran Gibbs and Johan Djourou are also absent but Carlos Vela returns from a knee injury.

Arsenal squad:

Lukasz Fabianski
Vito Mannone
Nicklas Bendtner
Carlos Vela
Theo Walcott
Samir Nasri
Denilson
Aaron Ramsey
Tomas Rosicky
Abou Diaby
Cesc Fabregas
Gael Clichy
Thomas Vermaelen
Emmanuel Eboue
Mikael Silvestre
Sol Campbell
Armand Traore
Bacary Sagna

I have no confident in Fabianski but I have faith in Mannone. I think Gallas and Vermaelen should be rested but heck. Porto should not be underestimated

Don't worry, we still have Sol Campbell, Diaby, Nasri, Mannone and Bendtner. biggrin.gif

This lineup perhaps?

------ Nasri - Bendtner - Rosicky
--------- Fabregas - Eboue
----------------- Diaby
Clichy - TV - Campbell - Sagna
--------------- Mannone

FC Porto is a team that cannot be underestimate, especially Hulk as he is able to skip past people very easily.

i dont see any problem there.. it good to fit in rosicky there because he's a player who got an eye on the goal and he like to come deep to collect the ball and create a lot of space for the others... he should be fine there and exchanging position with nasri... smile.gif

Yeah... I sat at the last row during Arsenal vs Boro last year.

TBH, some of the fans upstairs can be a bit... quiet. The fellas on the lower deck seem to be having a better time.

But still, it was one heck of an experience and I don't mind doing the pilgremage again! Just to take in the surroundings, the pristine grass, the peculiar fans, the crazy vendors outside, the club shop, waiting outside for the players to drive out... It was f**king brilliant!!

Perhaps the LYN Gooners should do arrange a group tour in the future? rclxms.gif.... 50% sponsored by thead starter... whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

i agree to most of u guys..I'll pick Mannone enytime over Fabianksi
Fabianski had proved he is really prone to make mistake, while Mannone, due to his inexperience collected 1 mistakes per game, however making more than enough good saves.

and quite a good article to share for fellow gooners..
describing why we can't be super club in the next few years
