N52 on the Liverpool games gives us more dimension to atk. His height and long legs does helps alot. He can wrestle defenders to reach a through pass which is very crucial. He is tall and CB's will be aware of any long balls and crosses even dou its Sagna.

Suddendly i feel Walcott place in England gonna be overtaken by Adam Johnson. I watched the M. City game. God, he is good. An english that able to perform quick step overs and confidence to take on defenders with a good left foot pairing with a right which able to produce a decent cross.

ive always criticize walcott for his ability, like what giotto mentioned.
he is all in pacey player..arguably the fastest in BPL either that top 3
to me he is good in overlapping defenders and making tru ball runs.

vince777, dont say adam johnson ler
philips,lennon,beckham,joe cole...alot more~
pecking order i dont know he what number lol.

i really hope he up his game, since the time he was dubbed as the new owen or something
its been 2 years or more already....he is still the same, maybe its because of his injuries.
i want us to have deadly wingers like we used to have.

Between Gabby and Walcott, Ill choose Gabby just because he has muscles at the same time has the same (or more) pace than Walcott.

laugh.gif Cashley.... I'd like to say get well soon, but NAH.

QUOTE(giotto @ Feb 12 2010, 11:21 AM)
Honestly if you ask me, Walcott is too one dimensional. I've said it before and to many other friends, he's over rated and besides his speed, he offers literally nothing. And really, when he's pitched next to equally fast fullbacks like Evra, he's nullified very easily. I think we've been too patient with him, Wenger keep saying he needs time but im afraid he doesn't have hell lots of time to develop, especially the standard of rising stars in EPL are getting younger and younger at 18 and above. Theo's already 21 i think.
*
Theo is only overrated because of his nationality and early fame. I've never rated him as highly as many did, yet at the same time I've always kept the belief that he's not the finished product and will one day become our striker up front and not a winger. His pace needs no further introduction, but he has other ingredients to be a good striker. Note how he strokes the ball or shapes his body for a shot whenever he's in position. Very Thierryesque. His decision making is dubious at times, but with Song and Diaby as examples Arsene has already proven many wrong; hence I'm going with le Boss on this one.

Until Theo gets a regular run in the team, and in his most suitable position up front (preferably on the left side like Titi); I don't think we are able to call in the jury.

If theo needed to emulate our king, AW have to start playing him onthe left so he can cut in and shot. With theo playin on the right, theo lack of creativity will only force him to use his speed and sprint across the line to deliver a poor cross. Playing on the left will at least let him think and be more creative instead of a one way run.

Previosly we was ard at the back of the pecking order behind Lennon, Beck, Cole and now Johnson is getting in his way.

We have yet to solve our problem and the opponents knew our biggest problem- a perfect striker. A good striker IMO is someone like drogba and rooney... besides being able to do good and fast runs, they can strike at any single slightest opportunity to score a goal, and most importantly, they are hard as shield and able to charge at anyone to make him fall or remained stable when charged by others. What makes Drogba different from other strikers... Look at the previous match against us, he's so ahrd that he can charge into 3 palyers and still score the 2nd goal.... with a single hand, he's able to push our defenders back....

We need a good striker.
