U so lucky can test drive the 2.0..i still dont have a chance to do that.

yaa..that's correct..no 2.0 emblem at the back..i'm also disappointed. simple thing to differentiate between 1.6 & 2.0 but Naza Kia overlook at it. maybe i have to buy the 2.0 emblem later..perhaps the red coloured Civic's 2.0 emblem

Hehe..now the Vios also got the keyless entry & pust start stop button. Afraid of Forte perhaps?

according to the 2.0 waiting list, bro bomberman should be the first to get the car. but since that there are enough cars to be delivered (at least to the earliest buyers), i think most of 2.0 buyers who booked the cars on November, December & January will get their car probably at the same time

hmmm..151 pages now. do we need to shift to V5?

If u count point by point like that..it actually got 10 airbags!!! Left curtain airbag got 3 points, Right curtain airbags got another 3 points (can see my pics at page 124), side airbags got 2 points in the backrest of the front seat (left & right) & another 2 points of airbag for driver & front passenger at the front (on the steering wheel & dashboard) = a total of 10 deployment points of airbag . But since that they count the 3 points of curtain airbag (on each side) as a single full length curtain airbag, that makes it a total of 6 airbags. & yaa bro bbear, your 407 got additional 1 knee airbag under your steering column..so 7 airbags for the Pug 407..Wow!

Hmm..me also thinking of changing to 16" rims & tyres for more comfy ride, better NVH & perhaps better pick up + fuel economy. but of course after the 17" rubber going bald

Got someone in this forum test drove the 2.0 already..maybe that 'someone' can states his own experience details about the 2.0 Forte. as of now, no 2.0 buyers get their cars yet

Added on March 12, 2010, 11:15 amIf u have enough budget & willing to pay 130++k for the 2.0 car, 407 as a D segment car (roomier) should be a better choice for u with a better specs (except no push start stop button..hehe).

But if u wish to save your money for other things & yet want to buy the best specs & value for money new 2.0L car, i must say that Forte is the best

The only confirm words from Branch Manager's (HQ) mouth is that, 2.0 buyers can get their car latest by the end of this month (at least for the earliest 2.0 bookers). & if everything is going well, by end of next week or the week after, the car should be on the road already. Since that the cars (2.0) already in their showroom & he (branch manager) also sounds confident about his words, so i presume it should be true. so 2.0 bookers..we have less than 3 weeks before getting our cars. let us hope & pray that the car can be delivered ASAP within this month without any further delay or obstacles.

no need to worry about that bro redz. if u booked the car (from dealer) last year, for me u booked it early enough & should entitled for the first batch of 2.0. Wait until the first 2.0 been delivered & then u can start chasing your SA. if your SA dare to say that no allocation of 2.0 for u for this batch, u can file a complaint to the careline. or if u have a prove later on that someone booked after u already got their 2.0, u can demand them to allocate one for u..else u will report it to consumer tribunal

Hmm..to say it was a totally different engine..i'm no expert in thatlah but the engine used in Forte 1.6 is from a Gamma family (same engine with Spectra 5 but not Spectra). It comes with CVVT, timing chain & better output in which the Spectra engine dont have

Both Forte 1.6 Gamma engine & 2.0 Theta II engine are newly developed engine..with better output & fuel economy. It is not the same as the old Kia Spectra engine anymore with lower output & bad fuel economy. since u have said that, so i welcome u to join us 2.0 Forte owners (to be)..hehe

Last time i remember reading from somewhere stating that BMW's timing chain can last a life-time of the engine. but not sure about our Forte's timing chain though. perhaps someone can read it in the service manual?

arrive this Monday doesn't mean that it can be registered this Monday also right. Could u double confirm this matter with your SA? I believed that many 2.0s already arrived at stockyard & ready to be delivered. & yet, i agree with bro epo, arrived cars means nothing to us as a buyers if the cars cannot be registered & be OTR
