Well, they do try to give the plastics a lot of texture, which helps. Just look at the plastics in the old LMST Saga and you'll know what I mean.  unsure.gif
*
Haha, true...when 1st time i test drive the demo car at Proton Edar, i didn't notice it is so 'plastic' due to the texture of the dashboard and door trim, after i got the car only realise there are just plain plastic without rubber wrapping. That time i only said 'holy shit'... laugh.gif at least it look not so cheap. thumbup.gif

Solution: 1. Adjust ur aircon vent for not directed to the side windows. Then follow by
2. Wind down your windows to let the rubber clear the mist.

That's some scary shit man. Does that mean our BLMs cannot be driven over long distance in the rain?  sweat.gif
*
don't over worry, it seldom happen, even raining only few drops will go inside the engine bay, on top the block also got the plastic cover to protect it, a splash of water? unless u open ur hood while u driving.

Well, I was wondering, if I had driven the car heavily and there turned out to be a puddle of water or something on the road, splash ..... ouch ....

always avoid puddle of water if u can..if cold water directly splashed to a hot engine, like from flood, puddle of water or even from Car wash...a small crack might start..you might google for engine overheat also..this could be one more reason

but im sure it wont easily crack...just take precautions...

another case if water get sucked into the engine, thru intake, u need to overhaul  wink.gif

Sometimes i drive through purposely to clean my tyre and fender, should take cautious next time. sweat.gif

For manual blm, I find it hard to control at first gear, just today my engine mati 3 times on the trafficlight road lols. when releasing the clutch , do we have to press the gas ? sometimes i just release my clutch slowly w/o pumpin gas pedal and the car will move forwards already, somehow feel like driving an auto car . sometimes when i release clutch then only i pump gas engine mati sometimes didnt happen.

shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear at 30km . and the rpm meter was shwing at 3.5k . ~_~

and engine wasnt that quiet on the first day that i received my car. at 70km already roaring like mad le maybe becos of the engine oil ? mine is fully syn .
*
Shift gear refer to RPM, not speed, since different car with different gear ratio. Our BLM got short ratio, thats why low speed high RPM. Shift at nearly 3k is enuf unless u want to overtake.

Control ur left and right foot, get use to it is a only way to avoid engine stall.

yes you are right, any idea how to solve it? I think the easiest way is to do touch up paint on it, heard need to sandpaper the area first only touch up, is this the right way? any ideas?
*
Sorry bro I have no idea how to solve it blush.gif ...but never heard metallic paint will suffer like solid paint, have to blame the ori clear coating quality is low.

Hmm i suffer before, but my car is granite grey, just when reflected, i can see the area is fade away, seems like something etch inside adi, but after few weeks the mark disappear by itself. hmm.gif

hehe...trying to claim now..hopefully pr0t0n ppl wont read m post

how to claim cps engine...wanna claim 1.3 block also damn slow..
*
i dun think they will let u claim the engine block which is not same as original 1.3, doesn't make sense at all, if like that everyone will try to spoil their ori engine and claim for more powerful engine.

Ic ic... but my fren told me to turn the air-cond temperature lower (colder) and the fan speed to 2 so it will jerk lesser because the compressor kicks in not that frequent... i tried that it works... but 1 thing proton car win others and that is our air conditioning... so with lower temperature and fan speed 2... damn cold ler...  sweat.gif
But if wanna change from 1.3 campro engine to 1.6 campro engine... will it costly arr??
*
VS won't help kickin jerk problem. Nothing to do wif the electrical system, just our engine don't have fuel compensation once u step on the throttle (at idle speed, ECU will increase fuel inject to maintain the engine speed). I 90% time the temp is minimum, sometimes hot just open fan to 2, enuf for me, at least it solve jerk problem. By this setting, the compressor will kickin every 30-35s, else if u open middle temp, it will kickin every 10s, feel suck especially at low gear during traffic jam...as long as ur car is at high speed then is ok.

You want the compressor kick in less, then make the temperature warmer. Fan speed makes no difference. Once you switch it on, it's always running.
I hardly feel anything in my auto BLM. Is this an issue with the manual BLMs?
*
Yup, i also didn't notice this thing on friend's auto. I believe auto version they tune the ECU to switch on the compressor gradually and more slower compare to manual. For manual, the compressor mostly will on 5s then will cutoff again, and the kickin sound are totally different also. I think they consider the auto gear will trigger/down shift if compressor kickin suddenly.

dunno ler... but it works... i mean turn down the temperature to be colder and fan speed higher... but the only prob is im freezing inside the car...  doh.gif he explained to me is that when temperature gets cold and the temperature sensor in our car detect the temperature and wont kick in so frequent  rclxub.gif  dunno ler... i also abit confuse...

wahhh u not feeling anything in your auto BLM ar???  shocking.gif did u change anything (eg. battery) or added anything (eg. voltage stabilizer)??? geng ler... mine is manual... when i stuck in the jam i can feel it jerk...  cry.gif
*
When u switch on the temp to coldest, the compressor will kickin less becos it will work/on continuously. I tested it before, it will on almost 1 to 2 minutes before cutoff. So what u get will be less jerky but underpower ride.

I always switch to warmest/lower bar temp with fan 1 or 2.

thx for the info
RM 900  + 20k service around rm 400 = 1.3k  rclxub.gif

btw for major service need to use full syn or semi syn?
*
My BLM also reach 1 year on this September, rite now is 21k mialege adi, yet to do major service. FYI, I will give up the warranty and service outside. Really not worth it, 20k is kinda new, nothing need to replace and service i have to say except for oild filter and engine oil, but they do, change this change that, wash this clean that, somemore got 'labour charge', normal minor service adi need RM180+, 70+ is labour charge, I can save and enough for me to change the engine part such as IAFM if i service at outside for few times.

Anyway, is my choice, u can still service under waranty if you want.

mine got airbag...means forever cant fix?
hahaha

Nope, is 'STAR' type, u can get the tools from hardware shops easily.

Can, but not by urself, this question had been asked previously, i remembered that guy want to fix the metal vibration noise come from the horn plate, even the SC also ask him not to fix it becos of airbag, i'm not sure on that, but u can try, maybe u are the 1st one who DIY it.

Anyway, mine is without airbag, adi dismantled before by myself and fix the vibration problem.
