Hi, mind to share why you need ISO400 in the morning? Was it morning?  sweat.gif
*
on the contrary, its late in the evening. 7pm to be exact. light was very dim, esp where i was, i was near the tree lines d.

i even boosted it to ISO 3200 for this shot taken nearby.

Thanks dude!
I see, it's late evening. Thanks for the info. BTW, sometimes boost it til ISO3200 looks grainy, it's another beauty too  smile.gif

to me, grain in black and white photography is totally acceptable (depending on subject) as long as the image sharpness and quality is not compromised. in color photography, i feel that if the chromatic noise is too high (Sony's ISO1600 or higher), it will reduce image clarity, and the colors will turn out quite muddy. in that case, i'd normally convert it to b&w to see if the photo's still redeemable.

Hehe yes, not the 599 but F430 - but surprised you could tell it was a Ferrari w/Hamann.  Maybe the caliper gave it away? =)

kelvin_hata, nice shot.  the bee looks so tiny compared to that flower!!

its actually the rims and calipers that gave it away.. tongue.gif and i was already wondering why 599? hahaha, left see right see also ntg similar to the 599

syafix, i feel that you overexposed your subject too much. a +1/3EV would suffice. the details on the flower is flat. try to compose without the sky as a blown out sky is not very aesthetically pleasing, unless you have a cloudy/moody sky, then that would add impact to the image.

it all boils down to practice and learning from mistakes then apply what you've learnt from the mistake into the next click of the shutter release.

try using 'color range' with a very low feather edge.

i cant really see where's your intended focal point.. the small screw at the back? even that, is a bit soft. the shadows are too dark, that i couldn't even see what lens is that. the camera settings could use a bit of added exposure. not to mention the lens, even your watermark is half eaten. -2cents-

no comment on the 1st pic, but the 2nd pic is giving me sore eyes.. the colors are too saturated and oh, the horizon's tilted as well. try to put a subject into the picture to make it more interesting.

zorex, i feel that the later 2 pics of the sampan is much better in terms of saturation compared to the earlier sky+grass photo. yes contrast is high, but i believe its from the vignetting effect. overall, its an improvement over the 1st set. it could be a style that asepa's trying out perhaps?

is that the backlight effect?

it is the "take 2 shots with different exposures and merge them into 1 image but did not do a clean masking" effect

great shot. but its better if the bottom left corner is not clipped off. there's no pixel value over there, all 1,1,1. but at least this photo can be made quite dramatic. here's a version of my quick touchup.
