QUOTE(chyaw @ Feb 5 2010, 12:15 PM) I think might be a deeper correction this time where as another round of recession will be unlikely. As US has been restructuring their financial system by putting into more control measures. I think index around 1,000 to 1,100 we can start to accumulate growth stocks already. This post has been edited by darkknight81: Feb 5 2010, 11:22 AM |

From RHBInvest on CSCSTEL.
Released the dividend first before the earnings. So everyone have to reverse calculate. CSC Steel yesterday declared a dividend of 20 sen per share, consisting of 13 sen taxable dividend, 6 sen franked dividend and 1 sen single-tier dividend. - It said that the 13 sen taxable dividend is in line with CSC Steel’s dividend policy of distributing at least 50% of its profit after tax. - Assuming the 13 sen taxable dividend per share is to account for 50-55% of its FY12/09 net profit, we believe CSC Steel is likely to report a FY12/09 net profit of RM90-98m, which is significantly above expectations. - We are raising our FY12/09-11 net profit forecasts by 22.9-40.9%, mainly to reflect higher selling prices. - Fair value raised by 23.1% from RM1.64 to RM2.02 based on 9x revised FY12/10 EPS of 22.4 sen. seems like ppl still don't believe Mr Lee.
DJ MARKET TALK:KNM Group +9.3%; Buyout Offer By Managing Director -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0248 GMT [Dow Jones] KNM Group (7164.KU) last +9.3% at 82 sen after BlueFire Capital controlled by MD Lee Swee Eng offers to buy out of oil and gas services provider at 90 sen/share. "The stock could rise further to test 90 sen on arbitrage opportunity," says dealer. But AmResearch analyst Alex Goh says while there's a possibility that KNM's share price could move towards the 90 sen/share offer, "we are uncertain this offer will be realized"; adds spoke to KNM's management "and they seemed as surprised as us." Keeps Hold call with unchanged 82 sen target, pegged to a FY10 P/E of 13X, a 7% discount to KNM's 3-year average P/E of 14X, pending further details on offer.(ECH) |
