QUOTE(mopster @ Feb 19 2010, 11:28 AM) u read page 101, there was a very short discussion of MAS-OR No need to read as I was "silently" reading it at that time. actually not too bad la.. since last day of trading is 22 Feb (Monday) i tot it will be even lower towards the end KLCI not affected by HSI and STI today ?? weird.... QUOTE(VyvernS @ Feb 19 2010, 11:28 AM) Buy 400 lots at 9 cents and sell it all at 10 cents... Yeah, just thinking of how some people might want to take a chance to make a quick buck here. Joking only... But i sure got some people out there with the risk appetite. Anyway, such a strong sell down on the OR. Could be all those who buy last week and their T+3 comes up already... QUOTE(whizzer @ Feb 19 2010, 11:45 AM) MAS still dropping like a stone. So the key question is whether has the "stone" reach the bottom If not for the hassle of subscribing the RI, was thinking of buying some MAS-OR just for fun. Anyway, that's just my thinking, not planning to play with fire.... Recent news like the legal suit in US does it no good as well. However on the positive side, if it has hit the bottom then the only other way is up. Where's Idris J when you need him ? Haizzz... OSK no power..... QUOTE(kmarc @ Feb 19 2010, 12:29 PM) No need to read as I was "silently" reading it at that time. So far, buying RI incurs less transaction cost than if you buy the mother share. I have been using Maybank and they charge RM12 for the rights issues & it doesn't matter how many lots you get. So I daresay it could be "cheaper" to get the mothershare through the RI. This purely transaction cost ya. I know the price drop in mothershare could negate whatever you might hv save in transaction cost Yeah, just thinking of how some people might want to take a chance to make a quick buck here. To subscribe to the RI, you need to fill in some forms right? What's the normal procedure for maybank, say after you buy MAS-OR and plan to take up the RI? |

Think you have to print the form yourself and fill in the amount you bought etc, but can ask your remiser to help you on that |

QUOTE(mopster @ Feb 19 2010, 02:12 PM) To me, US is moving out of the ICU ward to the normal ward, though still sick.It is no good to stay in the ICU ( with emergency aids ) for too long . Japan is just a good example. Personal opinion only. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 19 2010, 02:20 PM |

What's the normal procedure for maybank, say after you buy MAS-OR and plan to take up the RI? So far, for my last two RI (AXIATA & MRCB), my Maybank will call me telling me to bank in the required $$$ + $12 for the rights issue. Sometimes, they also ask whether want to subscribe to extra lots. This one no need to buy the OR. so I think maybe there are some ppl with OR who forgot to notify the bank or let it expire by choice. |
