QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Apr 10 2010, 02:40 PM) Help my glider got out from the cage T_T I looked all over my house from 6am until now still no sign of it. All the house doors and windows are locked when i start searching. Is it possible he will still in the house. I don't dare to open my house door and windows. I looked all over the place he usually hide but still couldn't find him. look at the loose clothes, shoes, laundry baskets...dark places.. most probably u'll find him hiding in dark places sleeping... that is, if he's not out of the house good luck! |

y u wanna even consider buying an underaged joey?
think about babies that are born premature... think bout separating u from ur mom b4 u can eat by urself... that's the reason not to buy underaged joeys to make it short |

if money is a problem for future glidier owners, then i think it's wise to reconsider the idea of getting one as a pet...
cos gliders dun come cheap, n cheap glider dun come good.... if u dun have the money to buy the glider at say, rm300... u buy one at rm150.... in the end when there's complication, underage or whatsoever that come along with the rm200 glider...u end up spending more bringing them to the vet... now where r u gonna get money to treat ur glider then? when the cost to cure ur glider comes to rm 100? then u will think, 'aiya, i spent rm150 to get him.. now gotta spent rm100 summore....nvm la, let it be la' now, the one suffering is not the owner, it's the poor glider... so please, THINK properly before considering to get one... they r not pets that u can keep n then throw away they die of depression they die of loneliness they die of boredom they r more than just pets.... they live up to 15 years WITH proper care so pls, dun let them suffer |

it's not that they r being cruel..
the older male is protecting his territory, it's the male's instinct to do it.. they will fight... poor joey, may you rest in peace.... hope this serve as a lesson to everyone... males will fight for their territory so dun put 2 males to near...they will be facing each other the whole night trying to fight even when they can't reach each other.. QUOTE(lastlovesong @ May 1 2010, 11:00 AM) wah! miko is so cute~ this is the case of the pet training the owner thenmy maki always bark until i let him climb on me only will stop bark. even talking to him or standing near the cage wont work anymore. is it a case of bonded or spoiled character/habit? about the mealworm, is it ok for sg to eat the mealworm head also since i remember reading sg version(forgotten) thread saying we have to remove the head before feeding sg... my maki eat mealworm like we "slurp" spaghetti... and my sg(s) sometime make "chirping" sound in the bonding pouch? is that something i need to be worried with? lol!! no need to remove the part saying to remove the head is because the joey dunno how to kill the worms.... in that case we remove the head so that they can suck the juice straight joey that are thought by their parent on how to kill worms will know how to eat them without us (the owner) removing the head for them chirping is ok, happy...nothing to be worried about |

QUOTE(banana_00 @ May 8 2010, 01:08 PM) Question! if u r good n have the experience, then it shouldn't be a problem cutting her nailsVisited Dr Jenny on 30th April, check with her can i give my sg a nail trim, but Dr said is still young to do that (3 months +) But lately i found out she will get stuck while come out from the pouch (although she still can manage to get out while struggle her way though), should i trim her nail or just leave it be? 5-6 weeks can cut de... but like eric said, u gotta be careful to avoid cutting too deep to the veins... Added on May 8, 2010, 3:16 pm QUOTE(sweet_blanca @ May 8 2010, 02:47 PM) he is still shivering after a long time after he wakes up. not to mention he is jumpy at every sudden sound he heard and sudden movement i made. this happens when u wake him up or when he wakes up himself?i tried my best to not make any sudden movement as to not suprise him too much. cos if u wake him up, most probably it's not his time to wake up yet.... then he'll just stone there...like human when woken up at 3 am in the morning... blur blur a bit.... jumpy at sound n movement is normal.... scared ma... differs from each individual glider.... some won't get startled so easily.. some, really no balls wan... any sound also will get scared This post has been edited by jitshiong: May 8 2010, 03:16 PM |

QUOTE(badtzcarol @ May 15 2010, 12:43 AM) now shin is sleeping in my shirt pocket, cute~~ still figure out the time =.= when i bek from work, she is awake and hide in the hammock (round 9pm) i play wit her awhile, and she become sleepy dunno wat the time shd feed her @ eric hahaha,ya they bark very loud! i nearly can't sleep yesterday Sh'e barking cos she misses her mommy n daddy. pretty much normal. first time ever separated from the parent. so feeling a bit insecure. only fren is u, giant!!!! Added on May 15, 2010, 10:58 am QUOTE(babyvey @ May 15 2010, 04:02 AM) Hey all, I want your opinion on this: http://kageh.deviantart.com/art/Sugar-Gliders-Diet-158002250 I used to have a glider with that colour, wild caught glider though.Do you think that that is a severely stained glider, or just a red/cinnamon glider? Aside from that, here are some pictures of my lovely (and super bitey) Meeko. He takes a bite out of everything because he is so damn greedy. My fingers are numb from him biting me, the trick about tapping sugar glider's noses when they bite or blowing on them is out of the question because I want him to trust me and I don't want him to associate me with anything bad.. Suggestions will be good, I don't want him biting my friends and traumatizing them.. [ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hope you enjoyed the pictures! (As you can see, I'm nocturnal too. HAHA.) Ps: Sad to say, I have let Xiao Gui go to a new home.. I previously wanted to sell both Xiao Gui and Meeko, but after getting my heart broken over selling Xiao Gui, I have decided to keep Meeko and bring him over to KL with me! ^^ Oh, and I have also noticed a brown liquid in Meeko's cage... Wondering if any sifus can give me a peace of mind by telling me what is it.. My glider is still active and naughty as usual, but the brown liquid excretion really worries me. [attachmentid=1576623] but after like 2 years with me, she's now back to standard grey....so i would agree that it's stained, but there are also colours like that, maybe in US not in MAlaysia THat brown liquid is most probably watery poo. Lao sai.....or, urine mixed with poo, then the poo got dissolved in the tray n u get that brown liquid. This post has been edited by jitshiong: May 15 2010, 10:58 AM |
