i think jay's problem is highly coz of the engine oil cap ... after a hard/long drive he is required to topup = most probably will be oil evaporating ... engine oil evaporate is due to either too low viscosity or the oil cap ... but then who knows, so better keep on monitor after replacing the cap ...

possible coolant leakage spotted around bottom right side corner of the radiator today, i saw wet stains down there.
Question: Have to change the whole radiator?
Thoughts: Does installing aluminium radiator worth it?

can repair, usually. sent to radiator service shops.
aluminium conducts way better than steel, and is rust-proof. depends on the price.
but then again, IMHO i really dont think you get significant benefit from an aluminium radiator besides the "gut feeling".
normal radiators last a long time too, and works good enough anyways - but its your money, so u decide.

hey guys....

i upgrade my rotor to bosch standard oem for wira 1.5.
after a week, i got "tik tik tik tik" sound coming from the rotor on both side.
the more faster i drive, the more noise it makes.

i check with foreman, they say the rotor dented.

how come a new rotor can be dented that fast?

yes you are right , copper can disperse heat faster than alu anytime , but copper is heavier , therefore if going for performance alu is chosen over copper anytime , and yeah alu is rust free thou ...

copper should dissipate heat better than aluminium.
but copper is also more than 3 times the weight of aluminium.
so theres the answer why tongue.gif

confused .... just to correct the quote, Copper dispense heat faster than aluminum ... evo use alu coz the most important of all, its VERY light, cheap and anti rust ... they did a good combination, fast speed = good wind + average heat dispense = perfect cooling ... lolx

oppsss..yeah..somehow forgotten about the copper heat dissipation rate.. how could i forget those things learned in overclckers united.. haha..
yup, evo use alu to lighten the body, including the chassis.. hmm.gif
